I think our offense will improve a good amount. Our playcalling and personnel decision making was just that bad. Remember when Kelvin Taylor got us that TD and got our offense going...then we benched him and put Mack Brown in instead and never put Kelvin in again. Adam Lane and Kelvin Taylor will make a very good RB duo.

Who cares? Sounds like a fail question.

The Gators had a Pease of Weis before getting a Roper, and the offensive product put on the field has been a complete fail.

Not getting my hopes up again this year, Lucy.

    Love,

Considering the last two guys were fired, maybe the posters who criticised them had a point?

Whoops, Weis wasn't fired was he, but literally no one was sad to see him leave.

Well your certainly jaded, and I can't really blame you for that. But, I think this is a game changer hire, IMHO... Pun intended

I'm concerned that in the first game with Idaho, we score 28+ points the first half and then sit on the lead the second half. If that happens, not much has changed. If, on the other hand we run up the score the second half and play second stringers extensively, then we'll know that Will has seen the light.

Style points are an absolute must this year... to show kids/recruits that the Gators are back.

The first play should be a bomb, for a TD no less... otherwise he sucks... And he'll be predictable. Lol.

Hell unless Roper himself runs out there from the sidelines to catch the first pass of the season , than I already knew it was coming, therefor : predictable:)

We now have tall recievers, sure handed slot's and three new tight ends that catch better than they block.

We might throw more it looks like. At Florida, throwing the ball is the kryptonite to all other styles we face. Running alone was never us and my biggest concern with Muschamp.

We will return to the top twenty five next year with the return to pass patterns and our natural style of play. Anything over top 25 for the O will not happen if the goal is to score.Once again...

Considering our strength will be running the football and the best player on the offensive side of the ball is Kelvin Taylor, I would assume there will be a lot of running plays and short/quick passes. We aren't going to be passing the ball all over the place. So with that said, I am sure there will be a proportion of our fan base that is going to be disappointed. The only thing that will help quell some of that will be if we put up 30+ points a game.

Basing the coming year off last years team is your first mistake.
We will have balance this year.
My prediction is #18 on O with the added passing yards.

I think it will be obvious in the first game, even in the O+B game if Muschamp is in control of the offense or if Roper is. We will know in the first series in the O+B game. I just hope Muschamp leaves Roper alone and leave the offense to him. Our offense for the last 3 years has been as predictable and vanilla as I have ever seen and that's with 2 different coordinators. There was a pattern there. So yes in the O+B game if we see the same plays that we have seen for the last 3 years this place will implode. If we throw a pass for more than 20 yards down the field we are all going to be excited like little girls.

I think that we have had "predictable" coordinators since SOS left, except for a few games interspersed here and there. At least that is my impression from reading the boards, especially after losses, close wins, not so close wins, close for a half wins and basically any win we were not up by 21 by the start of the second quarter. At least that is my recollection. Of course, not everyone, but enough. I was just curious when folks thought the first sofa coordinator was gonna unfurl the dreaded "predictable" label.

    It's all in fun.

If we don't top 40 vs. Idaho (who gave up 80 to FSU last year.....and 40 to North Texas, 42 to Wyoming....who only DID NOT give up 40+ three times last year) we are in for a long, long season!
