    R64 - play in
    R32 - Colorado(easiest eight seed)
R16- UCLA(2nd easiest four and NO LOUISVILLE NOR MICHIGAN STATE!
R8- Kansas(toughest two if embiid healthy, last 2 if not)
final four - Virginia(last one seed)
    Final - Wichita/Arizona

Dude...let's go son none of these teams are a bad match up...it won't happen this way of course but the "toughest" team we face we match up well with...good stuff....get excited baby!

Thinking that any given seed at a spot is easiest, toughest, 2nd easiest, etc., etc.. is quite simply foolishness.

The Gators were the #1 overall seed, so the path should be what the selection committee considered the lowest end. However, when the tournament starts, quite simply, all bets are off. I expect Pitt to beat Colorado, and they are very physical and tough

All bets are off after the first game, and even in the first game, a lot of very low seeds defeat higher seeded teams, although only rarely does a play-in 16 defeat a #1 seed.

I was going to create a thread about this, but its probalby not worth that - so I'll stick this here.

According just to the official committee S-curve, UF got the third toughest region by seeds 1-8 and the 2nd toughest region by seeds 1-4.

You get this by adding up the official S-curve placement of each team seeded in those positions.
    http://collegebasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/03/16/2014-ncaa-tournament-official-seed-list/

If you add the s-curve rankings, you get this:

Region-----1 through 4 seed total-----------1 through 8 seed total (lower number meaning tougher region)

    Midwest------------126------------------------------------31
    East-----------------130------------------------------------35
    South---------------136------------------------------------33
    West----------------138------------------------------------37

Of course, this is only as accurate as the official S-curve is - and this year I think its worse than usual.

As usual though, the committee made the West region the easiest. This is almost always going to be the case due to the committee's insistence on seeding teams regionally - seeing as how there usually aren't as many good teams out west.

Our bracket kicked out the three toughest match ups for us which I love. Michigan state, Louisville, and uk as an eight seed in the round of 32. Ucla and vcu are tough four and fives but we match up well with both. Wilbekin holds off anderson and we can out pace vcu. Our bracket is deep, but id say a lot of it has a paper tiger feel. I wouldn't be surprised if we faced a team like new Mexico in the elite eight to be honest.

Who really cares? IIF, we are the best team, if we keep winning then it takes care of itself!
This topic was also cried about going into the SEC Tournament and what happened ? We played who we were matched up against and won.
IF, we loose a game it will NOT be because of our bracket, it will be because we simply lost or that we got beat.
Enjoy this ride, you never know when the next ride will be!

I'm not particularly worried until the final four. MSU could be a bitch if it is MSU.

Who cried? Why don't you read the thread next time. It was simply, this is the highest seedings we would face if it went complete chalk. That won't happen of course, but it was actually showing a pretty nice road for us even if we faced complete chalk...so crying is certainly a bad word for it.

The so-called 'experts' are saying Kansas won't make it past New Mexico w/o Embiid.

As far as tough games go....Pittsburgh worries me a bit.
They play tough defense and are fairly battle tested.

New Mexico got ripped off as a seven seed...they are better than SDSU and St. Louis yet somehow got a seven...kind of a weird and unfair seeding if you put those two that high. Very dangerous game for Kansas...but who knows...New Mexico could lose the first round because 7-10 is pretty balanced most years

Remember that we get to play Colorado/Pitt in Orlando. Gives us even more of an advantage that we already had.

I honestly think Pittsburgh could be the toughest game in this entire region

The rankings of the top 6 seeds in the AP Poll before this week in out region
    1- Florida (#1), 10- Kansas (#2), 11- Syracuse (#3), 23- Ohio St (#6), 24- VCU (#5) & 25- UCLA (#4)

    Very weak 2-6 Seeds

Yeah, Izzo's crew might win it all, but that's still weeks away. Let's get through the opening weekend first.
