Tyler Murphy only threw for 240 yds and 3 Td's with no int's. Not too shabby for just a 2 star back-up QB that people here believed couldn't do the job.

Patton has made some big plays in 1 vs 1 situations this year

I am terrified every time he has the ball that he will fumble it

I guess you think Burton doesn't have the hands to be a receiver or a punt returner?

no, it's not the catching part, it's the holding on to it after he catches it

Really, I have seen just one real fumble and the other was a good strip by Perryman, the U's linebacker. Your lack of confidence in him obviously not shared by Coach Muschamp and the staff. Thanks for sharing your fears.

The Murphy/Patton connection could be something special.

Seemed like they weren't running Murphy as much tonight as they did against UK, and I think they'll need to do it more against LSU. I'd have him run the ball on one of the first three plays of every game, just to put that in the defense's minds.

Murphy is highly efficient and takes care of the ball, mostly. Great job.

We need more/better production out of our RB.
Time to let others have some carries.

Now that Murphy is the QB we have a good QB...but we should really do something about Matt and Mack at RB- both are very average backs. Taylor needs carries asap.

It will only work against overmatched and slow Ds. Whatever patsy we play before FSU, maybe Mizzou or maybe Vandy. That's about it.

Ditto, we should have done that long ago. It was productive at first but when teams realize that he wasn't going to throw it they just keyed on him. Now if they all of a sudden have him pass, it could open some things up.

why? the dude is the 4th back behind showers.

if Brown and Jones are average than what does that say for the 4th stringer?
