One possible scenario where I would pull for FSU--if the noles winning, meant UF would get a chance at NC, or some such scenario.

e.g.--say UF had 1 loss, say Notre Dame or USCw was undefeated, and Va Tech was undefeated, and we needed FSU to beat say VaTech in ACCCG, for us to be able to play Notre Dame/USCw, for NC. Then I'd be pulling for the noles. It would be...funky...but I'd certainly be pulling for the noles under such a scenario.

    Never say never. ;)

Duke winning will work, too. Though, I think there's a very, very slim chance they could pull it out unless JW is charged this week. What I don't want is both tOSU and SWAC to lose: That would be Bama's way back in this year, and they would win a rematch against Auburn.

No doubt. I didn't bother mentioning Duke because it isn't going to happen. Michigan State has a real shot, though. I think.

Agree on not wanting to see Bama back there again.

Yeah, but I'd still take that over OSU/F$U in the NCG. In fact, I'd gladly see Bama win their third in a row if F$U got denied a shot at a NC. Yes, I REALLY HATE F$U.

As we have a crystal football and basketball courtesy of our/my favorite beee-yotch team, I will graciously ignore their hand-me-down coach and urge them to victory. Pulling for semiholes is simply not done in this space-time continuum. Go Dukies, Go Sparty!

There is no way in heck OSU should be in a ncg. They have not played a ranked top 15 team in 2 years. Urbs knew what he was doing moving out of the SEC but I hope the snake bites him on the azz.

That's actually a pretty good point--I do too.

Although I know quite a few Bucks as well as nolies...

...but business is business, and CFB Fandom is serious business.

    Screw the nolies.

    Nothing personal. ;)

I guess I have a different take. I absolutely hate when a team gets to the big game by romping through cupcakes. While FSU did not have a tough sked by any stretch (thanks, in part, to us), OSU has ZERO impressive wins in 2 years. Plus, this will be (at least) the 3rd time OSU has waltzed in to the game covered in cupcake crumbs thinking they are world beaters. GO SPARTY! But, if the big game is a vomit-fest, go noles. I hate the noles, but I do think they are, comparatively speaking, legit. & honestly, I'd rather a team I hate that's legit win, than a team that has no biz being there.

I'm married to a Nole. Doesn't matter, FSU is our rival, OSU is not. Simple decision.

The strength of schedule argument doesn't hold water.

Each team has only played two top 25 teams.

    osu: #10 MSU & #21 Wisconsin.
    f$u: #13 Clemson & #20 Duke.

IMO, the Big10 is better than the ACC (albeit ever so slightly) and osu's schedule is actually stronger than f$u's.

I'm rooting for Duke. I don;t think either Auburn or Mizzou can beat Florida State this year.

I hate both. Hate the thought of the two of them playing for it all. And, being married to a die-hard Buckeye born & bred in Columbus, one would think I would prefer they win for her happiness. But no...I am a petty man. I cannot stand all that is Buckeye. I want them to lose..

This is where I'm at, Mich St has a good chance to beat tOSU this weekend, so it very well may be the SECCG winner versus the Holes. In which case that's easy. SEC!!!!
