I guess you are right. Can't argue that reasoning even though I wrote about it earlier in another thread comparing Bama's chances with our first title team. Just didn't think it in that way for some reason. You got me. Can't always have your way, I guess. I'll still hope for something bad though. lol

Let's save it for after Meyer bolts to his mountaintop at ND to spend more time with his grandchildren. The only thing I want to help him do is taste bitter defeat.

If OSU is in, I am rooting for them 100% over FSU. for two reasons:

    1) They recruit against us in state more than OSU
    2) Its FSU. Just think about those fans with a championship for a second and tell me you would root for them over anyone (other than UGA of course)

It's kinda like deciding whether you want your s**t sandwich on white or rye.

Regardless of how you feel about him, there is a very good chance Meyer will be inducted into the Ring of Honor. I could never support F$U.

How about this. Winston gets charged the week before the game. OSU wins but title is always very tainted because no SEC team played against them and F$U played with 3rd string QB. That way they both kind of lose.

It really isn't, though. It's the equivalent of UGA versus Michigan. One team is our rival, competes savagely in our state for recruits. The other has no impact on us.

In this scenario FSU is the s**t sandwich and OSU is a mayo sandwich on Wonderbread. Neither is particularly appealing, but only one is palatable.

I wouldn't want Ohio State playing a Winston-less FSU team. I'd prefer everyone at full strength and see what happens.

That being said, was Bama's title "tainted" because Colt McCoy went out after one series and Bama still barely won the game?

I don't know how anyone could possibly cheer for f$u. How is this even a question?

This. Go Bucknuts! Root for the Noles?!?

Indeed, I'd root for the Bucknuts over Auburn (but if Mizzou was in there, I would root for them). I hate Auburn.

If it's necessary to explain why we don't support the SWAC under any circumstance, then it isn't worth explaining.

    Resenting OSU is just petty.

OSU helped clear the path to our first NC, by beating Az State, along with the even more miraculous Texas defeat of mighty Nebraska (no one saw that one coming...). I'm forever grateful to both those programs.

As for Meyer--so what? It's not like he went to coach a school in our own conference (e.g. Dan Mullen/UF/MSU), let alone division (e.g. Spurrier/UF/SC--and I don't even hate or resent Spurrier for that) whom we play every single year . He went where he wanted to go, and its far from here. Good for him.

...and sure, he lied to us....so what? Never been lied to?

He was a mercenary when we hired him. He did exactly what we paid him to do, and then some.

Meyer is just fine in my book--certainly as far as Gators and the FB program go, he's pretty damn solid.

FSU lies, cheats, steals, and recruits in our back yard.

It's a no brainer. Screw the nolies....

    Go Bucks.

I'll be pulling for Mich State this weekend so we don't have this decision to make.
