I understsand the breast cancer awerness and all but those are henious!
awful. im so happy we don't do over the top stuff like oregon, i think most of their jerseys are awful to begin with.
The cheerleaders are a great fit.
I think I'm about done with this 'raising awareness' BS. If there is anyone in the entire country who isn't 'aware' of breast cancer, having pro/college athletes dressing in pink isn't going to make a difference.
Once you go pink....you can never go back!
Those are hideous!
Why not just do a cross-promotion with Victoria's Secret with that whole black/pink thing. PINK!
It's a reason to talk about and remind loved ones to get a check-up. Hardly BS.
true, but i think he may be hinting that breast cancer isn't the only form of cancer that deserves awareness. the people sick of the breast cancer awareness probably don't think breast cancer is BS.
We just had an 11 page thread in the last 2 weeks about Gators wearing pink pros & cons.
Yes they are...........I would much rather see what they're going to wear.
There's a difference between awareness and saturation. I don't necessarily think it's a bad idea per se but a month is excessive. It doesn't matter how "worthy" your cause is, if you spend too much time in people's awareness you're going to get a backlash.
How is it ugly? I really don't understand? It's just a black uniform with pink socks, and a pink helmet. I imagine players would be wearing pink cleats too. There is nothing wrong with theses uniforms.
Rant from Gator Country's Thor Kolnes
5. "I’VE HAD IT WITH PINK: This is just a general gripe, not directed at the Gators specifically but I am TIRED of seeing pink on football uniforms. I am aware of breast cancer. I make light of it in no way whatsoever. I appreciate that the NCAA and the NFL care enough about the problem to raise funds for a very worthy cause. But keep the freaking pink ribbons off the field. Burn the freaking pink socks and wristbands. Enough is enough. Cancer in general is a plague and there are innumerable varieties of it. If we had to dedicate a color and a month to each one this country would die of depression."
How's it's wrong? How's it right? I bet if Florida was Oregon you all would be happy to keep getting new uniforms. So what a school wants to change it up all the time, who cares? I think it's cool to see new designs.
So who's gonna sport a mustache next month?
