In liberal Northern Virginia one person showed up to work the phone banks to call and sell people on obama care. Guess they could not find anyone enthused about this piece crap

"Want to know how excited people are about Obamacare? Look no further than the Obamacare phone banking party held over the weekend in liberal Northern Virginia where just one person helped make phone calls. The goal was to sell the unpopular piece of legislation on behalf of Obama for America.

That means gatherings like today’s in Centreville — although the slow start here is probably not what OFA organizers had in mind. After a scheduling snafu over the start time, a few people showed up and left before it actually started. Just one volunteer stayed to help work the phone bank for the health law, and the event’s organizer bolted after 20 minutes — although he was bound for another Obamacare event, a house party.

Think Centreville isn't a fair representation of how people really feel about Obamacare? Think again. Poll after poll shows the legislation is deeply unpopular, that more Americans than ever want it repealed and that a majority are confused about how the overhaul will actually benefit them. Not to mention, just last week acting IRS Commissioner Danny Werfel, whose agency is in charge of enforcing Obamacare, said he didn't want to switch his personal healthcare plan over to one under Obamacare.

I'm really disappointed at the responses, or lack of, on this thread. Some of you guys are slipping but I will help you.

"The reason they didn't show up was because of a four letter word that is in the first paragraph of the original post."

Work does suck but if you want to eat, its a necessity.

Those who support it should be happy to donate their time to sell this hallmark acheivement to their fellow Americans.

But then again, Northern Va, while beautiful is chock full of DC beaureacrats.

Lots of people are on vacation in the summer, especially bureaucrats. NJ roads are laughably silent in my bureaucrat stuffed area. 1 is still lame no matter how you spin it. Where are all the retirees claiming the Pubs are pushing Grandma off the cliff (see commercial video from Moveon or equivalent hacks). Oh that's right, all of those retirees are now working part-time duiring this great recovery which only seems to have benefitted DC bureaucrats and Wall St.

    CORRUPTION RULES!!!!

We live in Centreville, I wonder if it was my daughter. She makes me look like bill's ideological soulmate.

    LOL!

    Work?

So, if the actual unemployment rate were even higher, more people would have showed up?

A screaming endorsement for Barry's 2nd term, I suppse, if not necessarily for Obamacare.

I know, right? We're very proud of her. It wasn't her manning the phone banks, though, she hadn't even heard about it, nor did I, which makes me think it wasn't well advertised.

You're all missing the point. ALL the insiders have already obtained their waivers so why should they care about the rest of the suckers who are about to have Obamacrap fall on their heads.

What fun would that have been?

I still don't think most are getting my point anyway. It's not the dearth of jobs I was referring to but more the refrains around here that Obama supporters are allergic to work.
