Tis the season of the transfers...

Do you still say "Once A Gator...Always A Gator" when a player transfers? Personally, I do. Life brings about changes, but sometimes it's a necessary evil. Sometimes we regret the decisions we make; however I think in these cases it's what best.

I hope that everyone keeps things respectable with comments as the transfers are announced. These guys may not have contributed on Saturdays, but they did Sunday-Friday.

    GO GATORS!!

Count me in. Besides, I'm in no way qualified to say a player who transfers from this staff didn't have talent or shouldn't have seen the field. It's been a mess, at best

I don't take football seriously enough to even consider the subject.

Sometimes. Our transfers can choose to stay in the fold by not disparaging us after they leave. I still claim Janoris Jenkins, with all of his flaws. But no way in heck do I include guys like Brock Berlin.

Exactly! If they still consider themselves Gators, then I do too. If they don't consider themselves Gators, then they're not!

No. But I don't blame them for leaving, most of the time. Its more of a H E double hockey sticks no for me.

    Cam Newton on Florida:

"If it was up to me, I would still want to be at Florida," Newton said. "My heart is still at Florida because of the long-lasting relationships I have with my teammates there."

Ya, I still consider him a Gator.

Ring of Honor includes all former Gators that won the Heisman. So Cameron meets the criteria.

It depends on how they left. Janoris Jenkins may have left under bad circumstances, but after he left he never said anything bad about Florida and he maintained his friendships at Florida. Brock Berlin left under decent circumstances, but made an @$$ of himself by mocking the Gators. Cam Newton is in a weird place because he left under bad circumstances and found glory at an SEC rival team, but he never said anything bad about Florida. I would say that most former Gators are still Gators, except Brock Berlin.
