Sad but our O-line can't protect and our D-line can't get penetration.
Yep, our D misses Easley and on O we haven't had a good offensive line for years.
We haven't had a good oline since the twins.
If the OL would have been even a tad above average we win this game even with Easley out. The OL was horrid.
I thought that our OL play would be cured with the new OL Coach, but we are a pathetically undisciplined group.
Our Oline is not where it needs to be if we are going to do the 3 yards and a cloud of dust.
It's not where it needs to be for any offensive strategy. Have you seen our pass blocking? The success of an offense begins and ends with what you have on the line. If you can pass block for 5+ seconds, you can complete a pass. If you can open up holes on running play, your players can run through them.
Is it a lack of talent, poor coaching, scheme, or what? Regardless of what it is, there's not been any improvement in the OL over the last three years.
They are without a doubt the one single unit that needs to play well for us to have any chance and today they were manhandled.
There is not enough time to get the O line bigger and stronger. We can try and get them to be more disciplined and not jump offsides. I think we have to accept what they are and try to work around them. It could be worse. There could have been a holding call on every set of downs.
LSU was better than us at multiple positions
I think when looking at the picture Jaggator posted, the reason the Oline doesn't do much blocking is because they like to watch Murphy playing QB, and the only way they can is to turn around and watch like the lineman in the photo because blocking hurts their view.
the o-line was the reason we lost. plain and simple. they did ok in run block but wow, the pass protection was beyond bad.
Punting, by the punter, was pretty bad also. That did not help our chances of winning.
christy was unwatchable today as he has been all season. idk what happened to him. but we didn't score points because of the Oline. plain and simple. they got taken to school.
Funny thing is, I would not have been surprised to hear Muschamp tear into the defense as the main culprit in the loss. He actually did this at halftime. Our defense held LSU to its lowest point total this season, by far. The Defense played as well as anyone could have asked them to. Our O line is beyond description. Focus on the worst areas because you can get the most improvement there. The coaches seem like they have been in denial all season. Please, please, please leave the D alone and fix the offense.
