Indiana is a nice story plus Louisville has had enough success this year. I don't want MSU winning it or NCST or UNC or Louisville as previously stated. Otherwise, I don't care.

For the fun of it, Go Hoosiers!

Four hitter by Denato, who beat the Gators earlier this year.

The was a very odd situation in the Indiana game yesterday where the home plate umpire left the game in middle of the fourth inning due to illness. In the top of the inning he made at least two absolutely incorrect calls of strikes against two Indiana batters that stopped them from scoring. The overhead television shot showed the balls being 6 inches outside the plate. Fortunately, the calls did not impact the outcome of the game as Indiana didn’t need the runs they MIGHT have scored had the strikes not been called.

There may not be any linkage between the bad calls and his illness but I don’t know that I have seen balls that far outside the strike zone being called strikes so consistently.

yeah, those were in the outside batter's box.
I figured after he left maybe we as calling strikes on everything just to get to the restroom. an emergency nature call! :)

pitcher's batters had to adjust to the new strike zone after that. saw few that batters chased.

I have to pull for the team that won the Florida championship - Indiana who beat both UF and FSU. Plus I love Kyle Schwarber. Of the 3 facets of the game: pitching, defense, and offense they really have only offense (but a bunch of it) and not likely to win it all but so far so good. They are in the winners bracket and it is a lot easier from there than the losers bracket. Go you Hoosiers.

yeah, if you beat florida and florida state, you've earned my respect as well. it was lalmost comical earlier when the gators played Indiana and faced schwarber. I was thinking of lines from duvall's character in the Natural describing roy hobb's: whatever the guy wanted or needed he got. need a double, hit one. need a homer, hit it out. he was a hitting machine.

Rodan is an unhittable beast. Tough draw for the Tar Heels.

Yeah, he went 10 for 14 with a ton of RBIs for the weekend. Which ain't bad for a pudgy sophomore. I am a little surprised by his stats from that weekend. I don't remember us ever getting him out.

I was also impressed with Wes Rea with Mississippi State. Big dude 6' 5" and 280 but he has an idea of how to hit and has a very quick bat for such a large man.

Yeah, that was a tough loss last night. I have to give UCLA credit, they play excellent "small ball."

Hopefully the Tigers can overcome the loser's bracket but that is really tough. It was looking so close in the bottom of the ninth last night.
