just listened to jc shurburtt from 247 sports on the bill king show. he was NOT to keen on the offensive recruits we have, he doesn't see any playmakers. he said if we lose cook (who is like a spiller) and the tall WR (blanked on his name), then we are in trouble and the 4-8 year killed our class.

They've all been prepped for basketball. Last thing you want late in a close game is to get called for a "blocking".

This kid is the kid who would never play a game unless it was in mop-up duty on Homecoming or against Georgia Southern... oh, wait... never mind.

Hence the folly of keeping Muschamp to salvage the recruiting class.

We are basically going through a coaching transition right now with this oc hire dragging out. The unknown of a new coordinator combined with three straight horrible offenses and now coming off an 8 loss season. . .all of that is just as bad for offensive recruiting, if not worse, than replacing the head coach, IMO...which we will probably be doing again next year, so we will be going through all this over again in the near future.

Hey, so here's a little tip...many people get their news from smart phones and with the fact that it is basketball season, when I read, "BREAKING NEWS: Young is transferring from Florida"...horrible memories of Christian Dryer leaving mid-season haunt me and send me into terror and shock and searching for a dark corner to crawl in to curl up in the fetal position.

    So...yeah...don't do that anymore.

Probably true at this point. Lewis looks like a good TE prospect but that's about it.

As I posted before, it will be a small miracle if Muschamp is our HC after the 2014 season. The recruiting is going to be like sharks smelling blood in the water. But this is about a Gator who is ready to move on. Good luck in your future, Trevon.

Our offensive recruits start with grier. Guys like grier attract big time recruits. You can already see it when we interview recruits who have been talking with grier, they just like the guy for sure. Humble is a word that is tossed around alot when describing him.

I had not forgotten him. But he needs play makers. If it turned out Lane and Cook departed then at this point we only have Goolsby.

well is is kind of right but that doesn't tell the whole story. Besides Cook and Lane we have a QB a TE and a 3 star WR committed. None of them are expected to play early. Now if you actually look at our roster we have a ton of talent ready to go from the previous class. We also have spots open to finish out the class. The doom and gloom people are hilarious. This class will be fine and the roster has talent or the site he works for has done a very poor job in evaluating our prospects in previous years.

the entire o-line was "unproductive" because of horrible coaching! AND thin because of injuries. If you people think Champ coming off a losing horrible season and then getting pissy with fans is going to help recruiting you're insane.

It's going to be super easy for our rivals to out-recruit us this year, and Champ will be trying to fill "holes" that he is alone responsible for with our worst class in years. Then he will use that as an excuse next year.....

Can you name 4 wrs that tom Brady throws to? A great qb will raise the level of the other guys. I agree we need more playmakers, but we have some good young talent. Alvin Bailey, marquis hawkins, ahmad fulwood, and demarcus Robinson are all really good talents. A great qb could propel them. Add sousa, lauderdale if we get him. We just picked up moral Stephens too. Kent taylor and Colin Thompson will be more developed and could bust out. Add RB'S Adam lane, kelvin taylor and Matt Jones we will be ok. But have to start with the leader grier.

I believe we will be fine. We just added David Sharpe to the line to add to kelleher, (who Spivey believes is the hidden gem of the class.) And added moral Stephens who has over 1100 yards receiving and looks to be tall from his pics, haven't looked up his height, but he could also play TE with goolsby. Not to mention we have some really good DBs in dawson, jackson, lammons, and mr. Gator himself quincy wilson.

Champ and crew are hitting the trails hard especially for lineman.

And let's face it until lane and cook officially de-commit, it's all just speculation and knee jerk reactions. So far they are still gators.

Ooops, Kent Taylor just busted out:

    Zach Abolverdi ‏@ZachAbolverdi 56m
#UF confirms three previously reported transfers and also announces Kent Taylor and Ian Silberman are leaving the program.

Yeah just seen this and was coming to correct:( oh well I think that's why they picked up moral stephens. There was initial talks of him as a TE, that would be nice with goolsby.

"@ZachAbolverdi: Surprised to see Kent Taylor transferring from #UF. He told me last week he wasn't and asked that I report it. #Gators"
