Winner doesn't necessarily equal best but I don't have a problem with that.

Again, I am not sure what your point is about Bama only have 1 loss. If Georgia would have beaten them last night, they would have been a 2 loss champion.

These are your opinions too. That is what makes the discussion worth having.

FSU gave up 31 points in 2013 Championship game
BAMA gave up 40 points in 2015 Championship game
Clemson gave up 31 points in the 2016 Championship game

Unless youre bama and its lose your conference championship game and still move on. Twice now

Whats crazy is while they still have to win it on the field, bama wouldnt have sniffed at least 2 of their recent championships under prior systems. It used to be that a late season loss took you out of title talk. Had the playoffs or bcs been around earlier florida could have had a similar record to Bama despite all of our late season losses to FSU under spurrier

Yeah and if you flip a few teams during our back-to-back basketball titles, we may have never won a single one. You can't put teams together for the sake of wanting one team to lose because the OU-Georgia game was an instant classic.

It was a moot point right after the game was final. I was expressing my sadness that it happened.

If OU played Bama Tua would have never gotten in the game. Their defense would have made hurts look just good enough to stay in.

Oklahoma got their shot. Even an expanded playoff will never satisfy this kind of second-guessing.

So what? Last year there were teams that would have shown up and played better than Ohio State in the playoffs.

Disagree, UCF could have beaten any of the 4 playoff teams. Rooted for OU win. Defense stayed home. Play calling was also off. None of the 4 were invincible. All were exposed, only correct adjustment, Saban. Bama vs UCF would have been awesome. Patriarch vs Pup.

Alabama did not win the Conference.

UGA played a terrible second half.

The media loves Saban and Bama.

Just think if Bama had a Eddy P?

Bama is the Div 1 National Champs!!!!

Get over it and let's focus on Next Season. Saban won't coach forever and Mullen is not even 50;)

UGA's defense against Oklahoma was horrible in the first half and that was only partly due to the Sooners' offensive prowess. Smart made a point of saying just how bad their D played in the first half in his post game comments. It seems they were so focused on containing Mayfield UGA forgot to defend the rest of Oklahoma's offense for the first two quarters.

Georgia gave up one offensive touchdown in the second half of the Rose Bowl, a performance more indicative of the relative quality of their defense against Oklahoma's offense than the first half debacle.

The Tide would have handled Oklahoma with relative ease.

Ugh, it's like a carrousel around here. Yes I know what happened in Alabama. An upset and frustrated Alabama lost to a Utah team that was underrated as high as they were, and if that same game was played for the NC, Utah would have been destroyed.

OR maybe they wouldn't have. They were good. Their QB who everyone thought was fantastic actually was and is in the NFL so maybe that's a different story but no, UCF in 2017-18 could never beat the Bama team of 2017-18 IMO. That's the problem with an example, is that EVERYONE uses it over and over and over.

Also, UCF might even be less challenged by schedule than that Utah team was and they were both pretty underwhelming schedules.

Yes they would have. Bama does not like really good spread teams with amazing QB's. It's the only thing that ever beats Saban. OU would have beaten Bama.

True, but you would know if OSU, USC, and UCF were real or pretenders!
