I think Muschamp's initial reaction was understandable, as I'd always want to see the head coach be fiercely protective of his players' reputations. But I also think GC tried to do the right thing (and was just unlucky in this case) and didn't meant any harm, so an apology should suffice. I don't think a permanent or even long-term blacklist of GC is anywhere near warranted.

I agree with the general premise of your post, but I think you discount the sentiment involved in defending someone close to you that has been unjustly painted in a negative light in a very public fashion. Imagine if it were your child.

I get the apology, but for anyone to think this isn't a big deal for this family or this player either doesn't have kids, or they don't grasp the concept of having a clean reputation.

True but Muschamp has never stretched the truth when speaking in post game interviews, so the talk with foley will still probably happen. I just hope gator country issues an apology in person to the coach, player, and family.

I think he expected more from a locally owned, family business. The other two couldnt care less about making errors like that. Regardless, I agree with him. Though I don't agree with the banning comment. I think he said that in the heat of the moment.

It was a mistake, it happens. It's been retracted now, and Bostwick's reputation is clean.

    TIME TO MOVE ON, IMO....

All those threads that ask three questions. And some have multiple questions attached to them......That's him. I'd say he's back.

I wonder why media outlets like GC and others that cover the football program have to use several, it seems, confidential sources to find out when players are suspended...shouldn't the athletic department just make it public as soon as a decision to suspend a player has been made? It just seems somewhat childish to me....like Muschmap & Co. are running a spy agency or something.

There are strategic reasons to keep things in the dark.

This dazzling post was sent via my Samsung Galaxy Tablet using jet packs custom built for Gator Country.

Franz was announced this week as on the GC staff once again. His first moves were to get all of our roundball insiders back in place. He wrote an article for the magazine that is currently being mailed as well.

Gatorcountry: organization that holds itself out as a news provider

GatorAz: Poster who holds himself out as a recruiting fan that that compiles information and disperses his educated guesses to people while never claiming to have inside knowledge and constantly states he is only providing an opinion.

Gatorcountry: An online community that once upon a time had good contacts in the program and journalists that ran stories and provided good inside info.

GatorAz: the only reason many people still visit Gatorcountry because his educated guesses are more accurate than anything Franz provides despite Franz holding himself out as an insider.
