We can contain him, our offense just wont be able to score enough points. Most of FSU touchdowns are because Winston throws a bomb and their tall WR's goes up and gets it. With all our problems, I still think our D can hold up and our CB's can give FSU some problems.

Our offense, again, will be our downfall.

Any chance we get Spurrier to finish out as a Gator? If he could give us 3-4 years of quality football while we groom someone or wait for a better situation to develop, that sounds ideal to me.

I'd take him as oc, not as head coach.

Meyer was hardly a no-name. Less you forget, before the hire he had won at Bowling Green (nobody does that) and was coming off two stellar BCS years with Utah (with Alex Smith at the helm) and an undefeated season. He was about the most coveted young coach in the game.

Unless you are talking about Adazzio who was actually our last coach of which I also try to forget.

Problem is, our D has a bad habit of allowing opponents to score on us early before we settle down, which compounds our offense's inability to be able to carry hardly any of the load. Let fsu score on us early and get up a score or two like Miami, LSU, Mizzou, UGA, or Vandy did, and we're done.

DJ Durkin has been, for the most part, a disaster as DC this year.

So by that logic, the reverse is true...meaning our injuries is the reason we are a bad team.

Our son in college worked with Vandy some last year. I texted him and asked him about Franklin. He loved him. Said he would change the entire attitude of the program. Also said he would not put up with attitudes and also said he could recruit like no one he has ever seen.

Just thought I'd throw that into the conversation.

    I'd be happy, happy, happy.

That'd put a big smile on my face. Would just seem "right"

Don't think so. He's without his 2nd best receiver because of it and I think some others also.

Me too but I just cannot see a situation where that would happen other than a good dream.

No...not at all. My point was Fisher is having a very successful season this year more due to having Winston lighting it up as a freak, the same as Chizik had Cam be THE reason Auburn won the BCS that year....who was also a freak on the field.

Simply put--don't give Fisher more credit than he is actually due. Once Winston leaves, we'll see if he is as good as some are painting him to be or if he will follow the same path as Chizik did. I honestly expect him to be better than Chizik, but at this stage--his results are skewed this year. Just MHO.

Give me franklin or Gary Paterson. Dream hire would be Peterson from Boise.

Without Tebow and Harvin.... oh nevermind. :)

All joshing aside, I would be happy to know Muschamp was firing at least two offensive coaches, hiring a first class OC & OL coach, help with the defense, find a capable coach to own STs, recruit a damn good FG kicker.

What else is there to do?

I don't think we can really afford to fire him. But gosh almighty, if it's not the coaches what are they doing in practice? Coach has been associated with big programs for years, Joker's a former HC, he has plenty of experienced Assts. I'm lost.

This seems like the answer to me. We need a BIG and I mean big name at OC. We need someone that would otherwise be thought of as a good HC choice at OC. I am still rooting for CW to pull it out.
