I guess Romney was wrong about there always being 47% that will support Obama.

If Obama keeps bombing, he'll be useless to Hildabeast in 2016. But, none of the current Dems can say they were against Obama's enslavement policies either, so he can't really help anyone in that party of enslavement nicknamed the Dems.

He is in the same window he has been in for 4 years or so. If he breaks out below 40% (which has been his floor) then it will mean something has fundamentally changed.
Until then Its just more background noise.

It might not hurt his re-election chances, but it sure will reinforce the lameness of his Lame Duck Administration.

It seems some do not care what Obama does and the effect it has on the country. To them, it is about one thing, Obama. I am sure they would support anything he does, and I mean anything.

Hold on here a min....I want to make sure I have this correct. YOU---of all people---are basically saying that Obama and his polling, is 'irrelevant' mostly because what he did 'in the past' doesn't really factor in anymore???? Or something akin to that? You called it irrelevant....with the implication "what does it matter?" "Doesn't count" "No big deal"

THIS....coming from THE most ardent "But Bush"-er 4 1/2 years after GWB has been gone, and you STILL "But Bush" several times per day???? YOU have the audacity to say something such as a falling poll for Obama is 'irrelevant', yet have the obsession of all obsessions over a POTUS who hasn't set foot in the Oval office since 2008????

Geez.....and I thought you had embarrassed yourself in the past as much as humanly possible. This one takes the cake freddy.:laugh::laugh:

"Obama poll is irrelevant now"....God THAT is rich.

I'm not looking to blame anyone but the people responsible for turning the IRS loose on its fellow citizens. Screw political points, somebody needs to pay and pay dearly so this kind of crap ceases right here and now. The agencies of the United States federal government were not created with the intention of harassing innocent citizens no matter what their political leanings or affiliations. To me, this is just another example of an administration run amok. But damned if we are not allowing it to happen. Lord man, how can you not see this? All citizens from both sides of the aisle have GOT to open their eyes.

This thread was in regard to polling numbers, larger implications for the country are something different - Not sure what we are arguing about, I generally agree with you ...I am only saying that Obama himself won't take the majority of the blame because he didnt know about it. Doesn't mean it doesn't have to get fixed, that heads won't roll, that we don't have a problem with intrusive government etc, only that most Americans won't say "it's Obama's fault".

    Again, so what?

There is no recall election if he dips below 40%.

3 years, 5 months left. Tick, tock.

It matters as far as what he can get passed, it matters for 2014 and it will matter for 2016, not to mention his legacy and the party image potentially. Look no further than GWB as the blueprint.

Nah. As I said before, he'll tack left and they'll go back up.

That's a very separate argument than saying a low poll number doesn't matter because he doesn't have another election. It may or may not go back up, but while it's down there are consequences.

Things like this never harmed Bush's reelection chances. He just got elected to a fourth term last year.
