I have to think that the request for the evidence inventory is just to make their job faster and easier. But, it could bode well for the defense since there appears to be no real evidence that disproves self-defense.

In the car just now I was just listening to a local radio commentator here in Miami who was saying he's been getting calls from radio shows all over the country, asking him to come on and talk about whether there are going to be riots here or not. He tells them the same thing I've been telling you folks:

    Seriously doubt it.

Sorry guys, I know it would be exciting for you to watch on TV, but the typical Miamians of a certain demographic that you folks are picturing taking to the streets are not like Radio Raheem, Buggin' Out or Mookie. They're more like.....well, Rachel Jeantel.

The question from the jury just feels to me like an initial poll of 5-1 for Acquittal and they need the list of evidence to sway the last holdout.

Before the Damayo testimony, I thought it was for sure they'd get GZ on something because of the outside LMSM pressure on everything, but after Damayo's testimony, I was thinking this was a slam-dunk for the Defense.

Now, with the judge's manslaughter addition, I have my doubts again. She's obviously being manipulated by the OA or has been influenced by a year of slanted LMSM coverage on this case.

I'm hoping that there will be a hung jury in this case in favor of Zimmerman. I'm hoping at least one person doesn't say "well, Zimmerman deserves some sort of punishment" and goes with manslaughter. The evidence and experts in this case support's Zimmerman's testimony, and if the jury go by the facts, he should be found innocent.

When you have holes in a case because the defendant killed the only other witness that actually knew what happened. And when that killer goes on to makeup a story filled with impossibilities, one would have to say that it is reasonable to assume that the jury will have to rely on a lot of common sense to convict GZ. Yes, I do believe that they have the necessary ingredients to convict GZ and I believe that they will.

They're all probably dancing around that elephant in the room, afraid that they may have dosed off during the one crucial moment of the trial, when the state actually stated its case, or they missed some super-nexus tying all these fragments magically together...but not wanting to admit that.

Eventually one of them will say: "No. f' it. They never did state case. You didn't miss it; I didn't miss it...no one missed it...it just wasn't there. Not Guilty. Let's GTFOutta' here..."

How so? The actual evidence seemed to favor GZ. If they were following State's lead, they'd be ignoring it, and probably crying their way through an Oprah Winfrey moment, to a guilty vierdict. Asking for evidence means let's look at our notes, and compare it to the body of evidence. I don't see that as particularly favoring the state.

Not necessarily disagreeing with you--just not inclined to think it favors the state. 3 week trial, high stakes, high profile, high emotions...I trust they'll want to think their verdict through pretty thourougly--regardless of theri initial inclinations.

I believe that with the oj case, there was a couple of Guilty votes that switched sides (wrongfully) after the jury question about 1 hr. into deliberations.

Reasonable doubt. Reasonable doubt. Keep on saying it. There is a MOUNTAIN of evidence that shows this fact. The state has nothing but emotion and sociocultural hatred.

The states own closing was entirely based on reasonable doubt, and emotional manipulation.

Chomp in every murder trial there is only one of the 2 principals to give testimony through statements or trial testimony, thus the trial for murder/manslaughter/homicide etc...

GZ will continue to be embraced by the right who will buy many, many of his books, if he's acquitted. He has no remorse. There should be no sympathy for this killer, but unfortunately there is already a lot of it being dished out by the righties.

What I find amusing is the statement by Guy that there is no way GZ could get to his gun with TM on top. That screams of a man that has no idea of what he is talking about. I can garantee that I could get to mine with someone on top beating me. I might take a few solid shots but I would get to it. There would be so much space created from the top person rearing back to punch me again it would be pretty easy really.
