After a grueling four game stretch the Gators get a bit of a reprieve with Saturday's opponent. A 6-5 Fresno State team is next up in Sunrise Florida where the Gators will put their national ranking on the line as they work their way toward the new year and the start of league play.

The Bulldogs will face a Gator team that is finally getting everyone healthy and closing in on a full roster which doesn't bode real well for them when coupled with the additional burden of playing in front of a mostly hostile crowd in Sunrise. I look for Florida to take control of this game early on and if they play up to their potential should win convincingly. of course it's sports and anything can happen so the biggest thing the guys will have to watch out for is complacency if they get an early lead. Hopefully our senior leadership will help with that area should a fall-off start occurring.

    Go Gators!

The game is in Sunrise, Fla at the Orange Bowl Classic, not at the O'Dome.

Not to nit pick, but the game is on the 21st, not the 20th.

You just have to hate a team with FSU as their initials.

I have yet to see Fresno play or read anything very enlightening about them. Teams from the other coast are so hard to follow because they seldom play anyone in our circle of non-conference competitors. Donovan did bring up that their defenses are challenging because they switch up things frequently, moving between man, 2-3, and matchup, with lots of different pick and roll coverages. If that bears out, it might take our kids a little time to figure them out--though if one thing has stood out to me about his team, it is how effective they ordinarily are to start games.

Good question. I think the health is fine, but being ready to play is a different thing altogether. He struggled mightily late in the first half against Memphis's quick guards. Hopefully he can get acclimated in this next stretch of games. We really need that fifth guard/wing to give us ten minutes or so.

I'm a Fresno State grad (rooting for the Gators today, though!) They're thin up front--they had a 7' center transfer to Washington, and a starting forward injured in an accident. Their point guard is a 6' transfer from Oklahoma State, who's supposed to be very quick, but he also tends to get out of control both physically and mentally.
Fresno is playing (the real) USC in a bowl game that starts about an hour before the basketball game. There wasn't even a pre-game story about the basketball game on the Fresno Bee website.
I think we will wear them down with our depth and should be pounding it inside to Patric.

I've looked around online and can't find the answer.

Does anyone know - will the game be watchable outside Florida? It's not listed on ESPN3 and there's no Gatorvision listing for a live stream.

Any help would be appreciated. This is my first season ever living outside the Sunshine State.
