we'll be a whole lot more humble heading into the season next year.
every win might feel a whole lot better [more fun?] too from a fan's perspective.

Still find it hard to believe that we've never won the championship. Not once.

If you feel like beating your head against the wall please don't. It's covered with blood and dried flesh of SOW fans from years past. 0-8 in Omaha sucks but at least it's not 0-21.

Disappointing season ......hope things are better next year. If losing teaches us lessons then I guess we had a hell of an education this year.

That's so true. Two years without the basketball team making the tourney makes each appearance more appreciated. However, this year was just so bad its now going to be interesting to see what they CAN do next year. They just HAVE to be better than this.

I know people expect UF to be good every year, but take LSU for example. They MISSED the NCAA tournament in 2011, and now they're the top team in Baseball. Even top programs have a bad year from time to time. We saw a record amount of gators drafted at key positions, and had to make up for at least 70% of our offense this past season. We shot ourselves in the foot plenty of times this year. I expect this team to be much better next year.

We have lost our last 4 tournament games, including the last 3 to Kent State, Austin Peay, and Valpo.

If you don't expect the team to be better next year, I assume that means you wont be watching or posting, unless you are a masochist or a rival.

I expect us to be better by subtraction if that makes sense. We will need a HUGE influx of players that will have an immediate impact and the two "starting pitchers" we lost day one to year long injuries would help if they are 100% and mentally there. Throw that in with the team will be a year older, I would expect improvement. After this season, I will not go into next season expecting to host a regional though. I know we lost a ton from the team and from the recruits but we just weren't that good this year.

I figured they would be pretty damn hungry facing elimination.

How many straight super regionals has the team in tally been to? How many cws? When was the last time they finished with a losing record? No excuse that we cant do the same. Their fans will even admit that we have brought in better talent on paper over the past 4-5 years.

Hunger does not overcome a real and patent lack of talent. I just pray that most of that No. 1 recruiting class finds their way to classroom seats in August. That is our only hope for avoiding 2013 Ver. 2.0.

And all they have to show for it is what exactly? Nothing. They've won just as much as us. LSU a perennial power house missed the NCAA tournament in 2011, look at them now. We'll be fine. This was going to be a tough transition year. I don't remember many predicting this team to go this far before the season, or after the way we started the first quarter of the season. This is a young team that will get back some key players next year along with the guys who were hurt (Whitson, Kish, and Carmichael). Also Juco transfer Taylor Ratliff will give us another bat in the line up. I really hope Sully gets a CWS in his belt, he's been so close. We just need to shore up on our base running and hitting with RISP. Have faith.

The difference is LSU came in with a young team that had potential.
