Anybody know why the games are Th-F-Sat instead of F-Sat-Sun?

Because the great god, ESPN, wants a Thursday night game. Genuflect, please, and say 10 "Hail ESPNs".

What an exciting game last night! I only got to hear it via the audio feed on GatorVision, my lifeline to the Gators, because the ESPN video feed is only available in the U.S., but I really enjoyed the game and Mick Hubert and Jeff Cardozo. I pulled up the CBS Gametracker on the TV via the laptop as well to watch the plays a little before the radio calls, ate popcorn, and cheered like hell! I'm sure my neighbors in the building where I live are wondering what the crazy old Gringo is yelling about! Viva Zapata! Viva Mexico! Viva Reid, Gushue and Tobias!

Get 'em again this evening Gators! Eat the chicken meat and leave the feathers to swirl around the park.

And for anyone who is interested, GatorVision has about 3 minutes of highlights of the ESPN broadcast of last night's thrilling win, including the last, great play by the Gators. It's not a "Premium" item, so anyone can watch the clip. One may have to create an account (and I'm not sure about that), but no subscription (like I have) is necessary to watch or listen to this and other non-premium items.

The clip of the hit-throw-fall-putout at third is good coverage of the Reid throw, the Gushue catch and throw, and the Tobias block and putout, but does not have a very good shot of the fall by the runner, only the aftermath as he tries to scramble back to the bag.

One big difference in the ESPN broadcast is that the announcer or color man said that the runner would have "scored easily" if he hadn't fallen. I'll take Mick and Jeff's analysis that he would have been tagged at the plate even if he hadn't fallen. But then again, I'm prejudiced, and, to be honest, given the actual outcome of the play, I really don't give a damn. Runner tagged out; game over! The rest is "opinion".

It sounds like Martin will be back at short once he's 100% (and play there for the next 3 years), but he's looked real smooth in center.

He's got great speed out there. With his speed, it makes playing the position so much easier. Not to say Bader was lacking in that department either.
