Last home series, and Friday is Senior night when we honor Vickash and Cody. No TV this weekend, but all the games will be on Gatorvision. First 750 fans receive a Gator baseball cap. Auburn has a 29-19/9-15 record and sits and the bottom of the SEC West. However, they took two from Ole Miss last weekend, have improved during the season, and can be plenty dangerous.

This AU team is hard to figure this year, when playing well, good enuff to beat anyone, when theyre not, they score 2 runs combined in final 2 games at Mizzou, after winning the first. Probably playing best ball of year these last few games

After that Mizzou series loss I fully expected this to be a lame duck team this weekend, playing for a coach on the way out. Then they take 2/3 from Ole Miss, score 12 in 8th Tuesday. trailing 8-0. .. So who knows which teams shows up In Gville.

Pitching has been fairly solid all year,, 3.4 ERA, bats have been a disappointment considering who was returning. Theres been a little power surge since the Mizzou series. Completely mixed up the lineup, seems to have worked. Hitting 278 on the year w/ only 24 HRs. Led by Garrett Cooper(.358, 7HR, 35 Rbi)

Sitting at 39 in RPI, and 11th in SEC, 1 game behind 10th, 1 1/2 from 9th. Needless to say huge series for regional hopes. Have to win last 2 series, which gives them 35 wins, RPI 25-30 . Should be enough.

Gators obv. have their own work to take care off,, should be fun.. See y'all there!

auburn, whenever i see them play, look like they have players that will power the ball all over the field and out of the yard too.

another 'bird' [war eagle] visits. we've done well to neutralize the avians lately though.

Well in that case we'll be the Tigers this weekend,,lol

Forgot to list this glaring stat from AU. 1/21 in SEC w/ bases loaded. :whoa: I choose to focus on the later number. Loaded the bases 21 times in 24 SEC games...that seems like a lot..lol Guess it dont matter if you leave them out there. And that 1 hit came this past weekend.

BTW the Fri & Sat Aub. SPs are set in stone.

Fri- Conner Kendrick (LH) (3-3, 2.34)
    Sat - Michael O,Neal (LH) (8-3, 2.70)

Sunday has been a revolving door of stink. Won first Sunday SEC game this past weekend.

I think you have to be at .500 when your schedule is done to be eligible. (Is it above .500, maybe?) There's every reason to believe we'll make it in if we're eligible.

I'm pretty sure it's at .500, so really the Gators only need to go 2-4 in these games. These last 2 series are going to hurt the RPI a little bit, though, so if you're the Gators you don't want to take the chance of being at .500 and leaving it in the committee's hands. Just win both series and the worst you can be on selection day is 31-27 with an RPI in the upper teens/low 20's. That's a lock.

What you don't want to do is go into the SEC Tournament needing wins. That's a tough position and to be avoided if at all possible.

    Honoring our seniors!

Vic has 26 people down on the field with him! They're having a blast. Nice that they let them all go down since they come to all the games.

Bucky, Marianne, Cody's sister, her husband and two children are here for Cody.
