Best thing I can say is I won't have to listen to those announcers tomorrow.
Not the follow-up performance I was hoping to see from Crawford. This team really needs to go on a lengthy winning streak soon.
If you take what I said about Carmichael as "bash and criticize" then all I can do is laugh. Did you even read my post, like the first line where I stated positives?
I gave you his stats for the Ole Miss start. Do you consider that a quality start? I do not, nor does Sully, and I'm sure Carmichael doesn't either. Only getting 4 innings and leaving with an ERA over 6 is not quality at any level. He faced 23 batters and 10 of them reached base....OB% of 435. As has been mentioned, I would imagine he may have some nagging issues that frequently happen to freshmen who are not used to throwing this many pitches. But whatever the reason, no real baseball person calls that a quality start.
let's go out and win tomorrow and get another win streak going
I used to complain about that with Mick, but I swear he got better at it. I blame Jeff Cardozo for the loss for not being on the broadcast tonight.
You are correct, but he played a huge role in each of our first two SEC wins. We're going to need him if we're going to have a push for the postseason.
This is going to be a tough weekend, MSU started off slower than they expected and this looks like a potential pounce weekend. I wish we would have saved Crawford for Saturday. As long as we avoid the sweep we're still on a potential track for the postseason.
Totally agree, I think he has been the best performer on the staff to this point in the season (Mags has a better ERA but JC has some other factors i n his favor). But if there is any question about him being ready this weekend I would shut him down rather than having a nagging issue all season. I posted on TOS, no way he doesn't get a start this weekend unless he isn't 100%, and as someone else posted it may all go back to the slip vs Vandy. Totally speculation of course, might just be fatigue, might be perfectly healthy and Sully just has one of his hunches about matchups.
