A couple of twitter feeds track police misconduct. One just tracks those arrested/convicted for child sex abuse crimes. Police are heavily overrepresented, including most recently

The other is Greg Doucette, who keeps a running thread:

"But how many children did he not sell pills to? You have to think of how many interactions this cop had with kids that went perfectly fine. The media only tells you about selling pills to some kids but ignores how many children he didn’t sell to."

    - Bootlickers... probably.

This thread represents the closest I've ever seen to a consensus on TH.

Of course it is early, but so far, not so much as a sentilla of sympathy for the copper, and pretty much universal feeling that the sentence is way too light.

    Feels weird.

    Welp...off to the football forum...

Total scum and the sentence is light, but if this is the worst police corruption in the history of Maine, they've got a squeeky ass clean police force.

I almost never comment on someone's appearance, but I'll make an exception: he's got a strong dose of the Neanderthal gene.

ish? A lot of hunters and gun owners there. Not exactly San Francisco east.

Interesting tidbit. Recent evidence suggests that Neanderthals may have been both smarter (as evidenced by larger craniums) and (IIRC) more welcoming/compassionate than homo sapiens. Sapiens were just more territorial and focused on spreading out and dominating our terrain, thereby either assimilating Neanderthals, chasing them off, or boxing them out from access to resources.

Unless the charges and evidence were thin, which is why the attorney might’ve agreed to such a deal?

Not surprising and considering the file labelled " people suck" gets thicker every day.

This is ridiculous. What even is the crime? This is America. We have the freedom of contract!

As a stepfather that lost a stepson to a fentanyl overdose and a husband that lives with a mother that lost her son to a fentanyl overdose he would never see the outside of a prison again if I was the judge. I will not say what I personally would like to do to anyone who deals fentanyl and even more so to kids.

I don't disagree with anybodys posts here but what I do question is what makes this story thread worthy 2 years after the fact? I don't see a current story about this anywhere. Oh BTW I researched what the news source SR is all about. LOL looks like it is a source for sick crimes to me. Anybody who follows that news source needs to see a shrink.

I recently watched a Netflix series about that. I should have known better than to make that Neanderthal remark.
