into Steve Spurrier's Gamecocks, because the records I laid out there are results from his first six years as a coach there. Yet here we all are contemplating a coach who has been at UF for less than half the time it took a genius of a coach to turn USCe into a contender.
Yes. I would rather have that guy.
He was proven. He was a HC. He won a NC. He won at Duke for crying out load. Plus, South Carolina has, what exactly, in terms of tradition?
yes. TT is and was a crappy QB. if you define a QB AS SOMEONE WHO CAN MAKE THROWS. so theres that .......
he was a single wing, read option uber stud and played hard as nails.
as a passing qb he was crappy.
i remember one of the fsu games where he ran over a lber one play and threw a deep over the shoulder corner of the end zone pass to murphy maybe. that was sick.
and thats the only really great deep throw i remember of his career. he scrambled and made plays and hit the crossing pattern and all that...but his time in the nfl trying to be a qb pretty much sums it up
he has a very slow and low delivery and makes slow decisions. those are not qualities of even average qbs.
no offense to TT or those who think he is all that and a bag of chips.
UF is not South Carolina.
They have still ran counters with Rainey and Demps even though it was rarer...and it went for nowhere usually. When you have RBs that cannot run inside against defenses it really hurts your offense. All they did was run to the outside.
Most people did call for Moody in 2009 including me, but I also called for Gillislee as well (though most people didn't). I wanted to see what he had. He was impressive in the few carries he got.
