we don't run play action much because it is too risky when we could run for 4 yards. Think about great moments in gator history with Boom as the HC- 4th down against UT instead of the PA bomb we jump the pile for a first down, instead of the jump pass its a qb sneak, instead of the rocker step bomb its a hb dive- possibly effective just a lot less fun and memorable.

Are we really having this discussion again. No I don't think anything was being
held back. Folks there ain't a 60ppg offense hiding in there.

I don't think folks are asking for 60ppg. I will take 30+. With this defense that is all we would need.

Even more importantly we need diversity. We need to be able to score in a 2 minute drill. We need to be able to come back from 14 points down.

Don't think so either. I also don't think we have that kind of coach who will plays that kind of game. The only way we do that is if we actually have players that execute on every possession and scores at will regardless of how conservative Muschamp wants to play

I was pleased with the performance. The defense was great despite missing a lot of key players. The running game was good despite missing Matt Jones and Joyer. Driskel looked much better in this game than last season.

40 vs 20 TOP, 262 rushing yards vs 200 total yards... I'd say it was a good game. If they needed to score more they could have. They basically killed the clock for the entire 2nd half.

I think we look great because we do not know what we will run and neither will the opposing D . lol

They are saving everything for UGA - I expect a vanilla offense until that game.

Today we only needed a 7ppg offense. That defense is tough!

He was injured and he was limited in the amount he played. I think this year we will have a competent passing game compared to the wreck of last season.

Bama would have beaten them down 48 - 10 I'm guessing. About the same as the 2008 team.

Okay, but would they be dealing with the same depth chart issues that we had today?

If you watch the press conference, Muschamp says the whole idea was to limit the time that their offense possessed the ball so that they couldn't run a zillion plays and bring our lack of depth at certain positions into play.
