I would take G.W. any day of the week and twice on Sunday, compared to what we have now...

That you would have to be fickle as all get out to change your assessment of the who the best president of the past 50 years would be based on one month that not a single one of the contenders was in office for.

    ;)

If we were to face a major event like a war I would take a war time consigliere. Obviously any republican. I actually voted for Al Gore (something I'm not proud of). But when 9/11 I was so thankful that Bush was prez. I developed a great deal of respect for him after that.

Nixon does not get the credit he deserves and JFK might be one of the most overrated presidents in history.

Despite being a staunch right wing republican today Clinton ranks quite high on my list. Not a huge fan of his policies. But I would take him any day over any other dem on the list.

But nothing beats Reagan. The Great Communicator. We need another like him in 2016.

Well, then after the intervening month I would now say . . .

    1. Clinton
    2. Reagan
    3. None of the rest are that good, maybe Nixon if I could get rid of all the weirdness surrounding him.

Which I think is probably what I said originally too.

    :D
