Exactly, defense has and always will win championships, anyone watch Clemson and Georgia game that was embarrassing to watch from a defensive standpoint bit fun to watch if you like offense

It's not acceptable unless you and your wife are entertained. And entertainment can only come through a wide-open passing game. All those runs for good yardage from 4 or 5 different RBs, a 17-22 passing game, an offense that only gains 400+ yards, and a great defense aren't entertaining.

I haven't posted in a while. But these boards have become much more caustic than years past.

    That's too bad. And discouraging.

It's probably better to stick to reading articles than to read a bunch of grumpy and sarcastic fans jumping all over other fans with differing opinions.

People post stupid stuff every once in a while. If it's ridiculous, ignore it. If it is a legit question (which I think my original question was), then give your opinion without beating down the one doing the questioning.

Here's hoping we have a great season. Go Gators!

Until I see him line up in the backfield and take a hand off straight up the middle, I'm going to consider Valdez Showers a WR. He caught four passes and only ran twice. 13 out of 17 completions were to WRs. There was one long incompletion to Patton and one nice catch by Dunbar called back. So there were at least 15 passes thrown in the direction of WRs. I don't remember the other incompletions. Seems like a decent ratio to me. Not that it matters.

Patience of a saint? Ha! That is last thing I have. I get way too short on some of these threads and feel guilty for it.

That's not what I see, considering the gulf between you and most others it's pretty impressive

Nothing wrong with being a prima donna, long as it's justified.

"I know I'm a prima donna, hell I admit it. What I can't stand about Monty is, he won't admit it."

Quite frankly, what a recruit has to say about UF's offense isn't worth a squirrel's fart in Winter.

Maybe we should have top prospects text CWM with their favorite plays from playStation, and we run them, b/c the only thing that counts is what recruits think.

    This is getting ridiculous.

CWM doesn't have a "RB/TE orientation, he has a talent orientation, and last year Mike Gillislee and Jordan Reed were the best players on the offense.

When UF has Julio Jones or a Amari Cooper, CMW will have a WR orientation.

Thought that he rather played well, if not perfect. Passed better yet I really like him to run bit more whenever opportunity hits.

I think like some guys thought that Pease must have set his offense in a rather vanilla mode last Saturday against Toledo, however.

If our track record plays out, we won't know how good they are until they go to the pros. Amazing how many of our wide receivers pan out in the pros when they only had average years here.

Its questionable if Lane and Phillips will stick with their commitments if we don't throw it to our WRs this season.
