Why do you think Phillips would be any better than Brian White as a OC ? White did a good job of it at Wisconsin making Dayne a Heisman winner !

If you were asking me, I only favor Joker because his results were in the SEC. I'm not saying White wouldn't be good either, but SEC achievements outweigh Big 10 results for me.

    I agree!

Three offensive coordinators with same head coach yet it still failed therefore wipe all of them (offensive wise) and start anew.

If Foley decides to give WM one more season, he has no choice but replace new oc and ol coaches. But it gets too obvious in time that WM must go, preferably that I really believe.

I like WM as a person, but he ain't ready for the position.

I think this is Muschamp's #1 problem. He's dug himself into this hole and I just don't see how he can get himself out of it. You have to think that he's so toxic right now that no quality OC would want to team up with him...practically a dead man walking.

Hire Kerwin. Case closed. I just hope he would take the job knowing that WM might be fired after 2014 (assuming he is not fired after this season).

    1. I just don't see Will bringing in 'another' OC and letting him design-build-and completely drive the car on his own. Any really good OC will want that.

    2. UF/Foley won't pay the really big $$$ a top-shelf OC will command.

Although I do think Foley many times does try to do things on the cheap side, he did open up the checkbook for Weis; around $1.5 million per year I think.

Why did Foley do that? To help prop up and support Will right out of the gate?

Honestly I think Weis was a lot better than Pease.

Of course; Foley probably though Muschmap needed a proven big name to balance Will's inexperience and lend some credibility to the hire.

A top OC or oline coach will not come to UF and work for a coach on the hot seat with 1 year left.

give Will 2 more years with another OC....put White or Joker at the helm now...see what they can do AND how the players may respond...you have nothing to lose..if they do better you have a choice...but you need to give Will 2 more years if you decide to get a new OC...I say this because I think Will has merit on the defensive side

Will's defense lost the game against Georgia in the first quarter.

And to quote one Will Muschamp, "this is not a five year project" or something like that.

Based on what we have seen with Pease, I think we would have been better off with White as OC. That was the Plan B at that time.

White had success with smashmouth Big10 style football at Wisconsin. Joker had respectable offenses with athletic (but passing) QBs. People don't generally like it, but the Co-coordinator thing could work. Keep terminology so it's not a "new system"

    OL still needs serious help.

Since we are just talking OC I would love to see us bring in Roy Wittek or Dave Schramm period.....Will needs to make a bold move and hire a guy who can run an offense. Dabo Swinney secured his job with hiring Chad Morris.....

I think this happens after the last game of the season. Joker takes overs as OC, Pease is let go along with OLine coach. But it is very important we make a bowl game this year, we need those extra practices for Joker to tweak the offense. We must beat Vandy!

WM is smart enough to realize that when we cross the goal line with our offense, we have to give the ball back to the other team. That puts our defense in a bad position. He's not going to bring in anyone who is going to put his defense in that kind of predicament!
