On national television? While the economy sputters? And Putin is setting back Reagan's accomplishments in the Cold War 20 years?

This is not a very presidential thing to do, but, unfortunately, this is what we have come to expect from Obama.

Since I don't listen to Hannity, Rush, or Fox News, maybe you should call it a Bushmaster talking point.

Who gives a damn about his bracket. If he only spend 10 minutes on it, its not worth a damn anyway.

He does this for two reasons...

    1. He knows it will receive a negative response from the right...

    2. It will bring out his lemming defenders (including those in the media).

I suspect he does it for the same reason I filled out a form. It's kind of fun.

Nor is the time you are spending critiquing him doing it?

Does he think that America cares enough about his choices that he needs to do it on national television?

Again, I don't care that he does it. I just with he had the decency to do it in private... Like you do, river... It may be symbolic, but considering the dismal shape this country is in, he should have the class to do it in private.

Why? Does it bother you that this president can't hold a candle to Reagan's accomplishments?

Decency to do it in private?
    :D:D:D
Yes, your NCAA picks are such sensitive things that it should be done in the privacy of your home ...
You really did get me laughing out loud on that one!

I could care less whether you think he holds a candle to one your idolizing ..and I highly doubt you want this president to dramatically increase defense spending in some 'cat and mouse' game, with no real intention to actually start World War 3.

The fact is, we (the West) aren't in much a position to force our will right now, and no amount of complaining will change that, regardless of whom is in office.

I agree with you there. Obama has set the tone for his presidency, and the course for this country, very early on. Powerful leaders, of which Obama is NOT, sized him up early on, and set their course early on.

    Obama is a toothless chihuahua.

So you believe if a US president has a better personal relationship with Russia's leader, they could get them to do what is in the US's best interest?

Again, what do you want us to do here?

And why the hell do any of you really care about Ukraine? I could give 2 sh!ts about whether or not part of Ukraine wants to be part of Russia...not a choice I would make, but isn't going to affect me ever.

Unfortunately, it's too late to do anything. Obama set the tone early on that anyone and everyone could walk all over him. Obama is completely and utterly without power to change things now.

Ahh I see, if only he had set the tone properly as you see fit, he could have personally convinced Putin to do what is in the West's best interest
