A really well though out and supported dive into the failing obama administration..

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/opini...ff0426-d9df-11e2-a016-92547bf094cc_print.html

The question of whether Barack Obama’s second term will be a failure was answered in the affirmative before his Berlin debacle, which has recast the question, which now is: Will this term be silly, even scary in its detachment from reality?

Regarding another threat, he spoke an almost meaningless sentence that is an exquisite example of why his rhetoric cannot withstand close reading: “We may strike blows against terrorist networks, but if we ignore the instability and intolerance that fuels extremism, our own freedom will eventually be endangered.” So, “instability and intolerance” are to blame for terrorism? Instability where? Intolerance of what by whom “fuels” terrorists? Terrorism is a tactic of destabilization. Intolerance is, for terrorists, a virtue.

Shifting his strange focus from Russia’s nuclear weapons, Obama said “we can . . . reject the nuclear weaponization that North Korea and Iran may be seeking.” Were Obama given to saying such stuff off the cuff, this would be a good reason for handcuffing him to a teleprompter. But, amazingly, such stuff is put on his teleprompter and, even more amazing, he reads it aloud.

Neither the people who wrote those words nor he who spoke them can be taken seriously. North Korea and Iran may be seeking nuclear weapons? North Korea may have such weapons. Evidently Obama still entertains doubts that Iran is seeking them.

His look is just not that interesting. And after being pointless in Berlin, neither is he, other than for the surrealism of his second term.

This, coupled with a malfunctioning teleprompter, explains it all.

    "Obama's scary detachment from reality.."

Show me just ONE liberal who IS aware of and lives in reality. This buffoon in office is the poster child for being caught up in academia land where real jobs...real livings....real world business....has never existed in his life. He was THE most least qualified POTUS the country has ever seen, and has no concept of reality of this country---and certainly no clue how to deal with the problems.

There are none. Only conservatives can see reality. Any and all conservatives, but no one else.

If I could post a picture of myself you'd see one.

Your ability to generalize with a broad brush because of your patent hatred of one is not reality either. It's just old fashioned closed mindedness. How easy it is to throw around words like commie, socialist or Muslim and try to scare people like McCarthy did in the 50s.

I've run a real estate development company for 20 years, developed a billion dollars of real estate, created tens of thousands of jobs, paid more in state income taxes alone(never mind the federal load) than most people make in a lifetime and paid back every penny of hundreds of millions I've ever owed a bank even in 2008-2010. Is that reality enough for you or am I just another taker because I voted for Obama?

Doesn't mean I'm happy with him but until the pub party gets its head out of its ass on social issues and steps away from its tie to the religious right and its hypocrisy on refusing slightly to reduce defense spending and on SS and Medicare, they're not getting my vote. The next Republican presidential candidate to actually have the balls to publicly say in a debate specially what really needs to happen will be the first, yet you guys act like they are all true patriots with a solution. Both sides suck but you just keep pointing fingers and perpetuate the problem. It's very helpful.

Maybe several decisions made by our political leaders regarding "use of our military" have been suspect, but having a strong national defense allows us the freedom to develop real estate, build businesses, accumulate wealth, achieve success, give to others less fortunate.

We've been down this road before...whenever the left starts panting about defense cuts, it seems we always go too far. We need to be careful. Our pilots are flying 50 year old aircraft in some cases. Our navy has less active ships than we've had in 75 years. We are the only super power. Perhaps we need to begin "charging" for protection but we need to be extremely careful about "downsizing".

"Our pilots are flying 50 year old aircraft in some cases."

If not mistaken, there have been a ton of both Dem and GOP POTUS's and Congresses over the last 50 years

Besides--there needs to be 50 year old aircraft for there to be Air Guard units such as the one that Bush Sr pulled strings to get his son into. That Texas Air Guard unit was only equipped with aircraft that were already taken off the list of combat aircraft by the Pentagon. That Air Guard unit was a shelter for politicians(of both parties) as well as uber wealthy to hide their sons from having to see combat or end up anywhere outsde the U.S.

    Bush again?

Why is mental illness so prevalent among liberals?
