So if you live in a state that did not vote for obama you will have the pleasure of paying more for your health ins. How in the hell could a country like America ever elect a piece of crap like obama is beyond belief.

"Experiencing sticker-shock at the price of insurance on ObamaCare exchanges?

That's more likely if you live in a "red state" that didn't vote for Obama, according to price data compiled by the Heritage Foundation. In red states, premiums for 27-year-olds rose an average of 78% on ObamaCare exchanges, whereas in "blue states" that voted for Obama, premiums rose a smaller 50%.

Senate critics of ObamaCare say the difference is one way in which the bill is unfair.

"It’s unfair, outrageous and unacceptable," Senator John Barrasso, R-Wyo., who is also an orthopedic surgeon, said in a statement to FoxNews.com.

Heard this on the radio this morning, rural areas have less competition among insurance companies for business. So they are seeing higher rates.

That's one factor. "Red states" tend to have weaker state regulatory environments too, so there were/are more "junk insurance plans" that are not ACA compliant.

Now we're back to junk insurance plans. The spin is strong with this one.

What is not mentioned re the Exchanges and different plans is the options one has when choosing docs and hospitals. In many rural areas, these people have to drive hours to a hospital "in network". And in urban areas, many will feel they've moved to Pakistan or Indian with their choice of docs. (not that these docs aren't bright)

We have the young subsidizing the old. To tweak this we need the urban dwellers subsidizing the rural folks. Wait...the urban dwellers are getting it for free....medicaid. Yikes....what do we do?

    Tax Hike.

Just using the term that's in the discourse, which is why I put it in quotes. Whatever you want to call them, they don't meet the new federal regulations, which arent all that stringent either. An ACA bronze level plan isnt terribly amazing either, its essentially a high-deductible "catastrophic" plan.

Hell, if you vote for any of them you are voting for a liar. Politicians at that level have to talk out of both sides of their mouths to get the job.

It's little wonder that the states that worked with the administration to set up exchanges are having a better experience than the ones run by morons who didn't.

So those people get to trade one junk plan for another junk plan & get to pay more.
No wonder so many are royally ticked.

Yes, because the administration has proven itself to be so adept at setting up an exchange.

If ACA bronze level insurance becomes the new "junk insurance" or not having insurance, I'd say that's a net positive over the old status quo.

Overlooked is the fact that it's going up everywhere, just more in red states.

Are they? Can you spell Oregon? We have spent $1 B on these 15 state exchanges and the same lame companies have done it. Taxpayers again footing the bill. California $350 M; NY $169 M. Oregon's website does not work and they have not rolled one person. But they have added 50,000 + to medicaid.

It looks like our governors who opted out are the wise ones.

It's the same kind of unwritten rule they have in prisons..."honor among thieves".
