Is Barack a Muslim?
As nations and empires become more multicultural their leaders become more authoritarian. How else to hold together societies where people secretly desire to spill each other's blood? The Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman empires, the domains of the Hapsburgs and Romanovs, the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia---look at what happened when their dictatorships dissolved (USSR and Yugoslavia split into 22 countries, for example). America used to be a place where the government couldn't take away your rights. Now the primacy of the individual is subordinated to the prerogatives of the state. Maybe that's why there are 6 and 14 month waiting lists to give up your American citizenship in London and Geneva. The Anglo-Protestant core of the country is being conquered and replaced by a new people.
people want to give up their american citizenship for english? lol that is comical to say the least, have fun with that and if you thought your freedoms were bad here, attempt to buy a firearm there
A conservative born privatized universal health care plan (no public option or single payer), that was legitimately passed by congress and upheld by the SC
We are not at the negotiating table anymore for a law that was already passed
You want to amend it, then pass amendments, not take the country hostage because you don't like it
Don't think that says something good about Republicans
One would have to understand it, before offering any intelligent amendments to it, which presumes of course it made sense from the beginning.
But since they passed it without reading or understanding it, one could say that it likely doesn't make any comprehensive sense in the first place.
to cons/GOP on this thread---how do you explain the U.S. Chamber of Commerce(a predominantly moderate Republican organization who in most recent election had 93% of their campaign donations go to GOP politicians)----putting the blame for the budget impasse squarely on House GOP? US Chamber of commerce appears to have issue with House GOP putting politics ahead of businesses, people, country.
Yeah, sure, they won't give the petulant boy-child what he wants.
My goodness, they sure are mean.
So much for not wanting to create uncertainty
Everybody on this board (and in this country) knows that this is the truth, it's just the right-wingers who are pretending otherwise.
We will see how popular this law is 3 years down the road.
