Even though the country is against it. No questions allowed.
I just read an article on Yahoo that says the white housenhas asked fornan expanded target list...three days of bombing. My fear...and the fear of most americans I think is that one day turns into three turns into a week turns I to boots on the ground.
Yep and don't let him feed you the BS that there weren't troops in Libya. I have met two of them since all of that went down.
Obama is such a tool. Why not broadcast a list of your targets? He told the Afghans his withdrawal date. I'm surprised he didn't send OBL a telegram that we were coming.
He should have made up some lie linking Syria to Sandy Hook taking a page out of his predecessor's handbook.
So why were you so anti war when your own party voted for it to "yeah let's bomb the chit out of them when your boy is in office?" Do you really think that we alone will be able to defeat Russia, China and Iran all by ourselves when we only have one fleet there and they have at least two? Do you really believe that?
Neither represented my position.
I was wary of Iraq but begrudgingly approved because I never anticipated a president cooking the books.
I am against Syrian action too, but am amused by the Bush hawks reflexively against every decision Obama makes.
I think every American is against the decisions Obama makes.
No one wants this war. If he is so worried about the Middle East then go live there.
Yes, he got record numbers of votes because everyone always opposes him.
No, it's just a reflexive minority of butthurt pubs who would quit watching football if Obama declared he liked it a lot.
Do we really want to start a war with Russia and China over Syria?
This needs to stop now.
With the current polling and his base turning against him, I perplexes me why Obama continues to dig a deeper hole on this one. He could save face by simply saying the that he doesn't what to defy the will of Congress and the American public and is therefore moving on.
Why is Obama continuing to paint himself into a corner? True conviction? Arrogance? Narcissism?
How about doing what he feels is right?
I believe he won't be cleared by Congress to attack and he knows it. This clears his record on the matter. We might look back and wish we had gone in, who knows. This is the price we pay for previous, costly ventures that yielded nothing.
And that Assad was behind the chemical attacks is just a foregone conclusion, not even worthy of discussion, right? Just believe John Kerry.
Who else had the means, and sent the gas from locations Assad controlled to locations he didn't? Or do you think the CIA did it?
Could be any number of people. Assad could have but so could FSA Terrorist or Al Qaeda (or whatever name they go by in that region).
This could easily be some terrorist who wants us to get involved after the "red line" comment by our genius "leader".
I posted this in another thread but will post it again here (since it killed that thread).
And add to that the constant running "War on Terror" banner on Fox.
The link counts mostly on equating Kerry with Powell, as if Obama had a hard on for getting involved in Syria that needed an excuse, kind of like Bush did for Iraq. That is pure nonsense as Obama has avoided a response as long as possible, a fact which the right was criticizing him before they decided they were now all pacifists since they can't agree with him on anything or risk having their heads explode. The proof of these reports is superior ability of our government to collect this kind of information - that's why we spend billions on it - coupled with the principles reluctance to want to believe them until they had to.
Why don't we stop talking about what Bush did. Coming from someone who doesn't support Bush or the war in Iraq, what is your stance on Syria?
Should Obama go against Russia and China, and continue with this plan that even our allies are backing out of? Should we really risk war with Russia and China over Syria?
