obama lost complete control of himself and embarrassed the US to no end when he call Putin a jackass and then put into lecturing Putin on their stance on gay laws.

obama thanks if they dont do and say what he wants he has the right to belittle them in public what a real piece of crap we have for a leader

"Hopes for a positive G20 summit crumbled today as President Obama blurted to Russia’s Vladimir Putin at a joint press appearance, “Everyone here thinks you’re a jackass.”

The press corps appeared stunned by the uncharacteristic outburst from Mr. Obama, who then unleashed a ten-minute tirade at the stone-faced Russian President.

“Look, I’m not just talking about Snowden and Syria,” Mr. Obama said. “What about Pussy Riot? What about your anti-gay laws? Total jackass moves, my friend.”

I guess the real question is why is the New Yorker attempting satire? Seems like a really good way to confuse people (as evidenced).

If it is an attempt at satire, maybe there is something revealing in the fact that it was totally believable at face value.

EDIT: oh, the joint press conference gives it away, I didn't catch that, that this was something he might have fired across the table, which -- totally believable at face value.

If you start with your conclusion and look for something to support it, then you are at risk for swallowing anything that says what you want to hear, regardless of how ridiculous it is when you look at it objectively.

Let's not confuse New Yorker readers with some conservatives here on Too Hot. Although my guess is the OP didn't stumble upon it in the New Yorker. It was probably linked on some conservative website where they also didn't know what the piece was about.

No, the only thing that makes it sound ridiculous to me is the detail I missed on the first look, that it was in front of the press. Obama losing his cool under stress? Caring enough about Pussy Riot to comment? What sounds ridiculous about any of that? If they had said "a source inside the room reports...", it would be completely plausible.

You mean revealing about those who believed it? Probably.

The gullibility of the average conservative is pretty easy to exploit.

Why? I know of no conservatives who voted for 'Hope and Change...' I do, however, know a lot of liberals who fell for it.

It does seem that conservatives starting threads with links that they aren't close to understanding is a daily occurrence here.

It had nothing to do with a conservative website, the guy that wrote it is a comedian.

As I said, I sincerely doubt that diehardgator is a regular reader of the New Yorker, stumbled on the Borowitz piece and thought it was real. The much greater likelihood is that he saw it linked on a conservative website who was as gullible as he was and rushed to post it here.
But maybe he will come forward and A) admit his rather laughable mistake, B) explain how he came across the piece in the first place.
