When Obama leads from behind, he expects someone else to lead from the front. Especially to cleanup his mess. After Obama's cowardice in Syria, Putin was emboldened to "invade" Ukraine and arm his reckless rebels with surface-to-air missiles, which caused 295 innocent people to die. Obama lied, people died.

Another president who really failed to take serious action following the downing of a commercial airliner by the Russians and the reaction of conservative columnists.

To be fair it is about time for the Europeans to start paying for their own defense. The Germans barely have an army anymore, and no one has the logistical capacity to be expeditionary with out the US.

Weird. After the Bush foreign policy awesomeness of invading Iraq like a true strong hero.......Putin was emboldened to invade Georgia.

So much for your theory that Bush's sagacity and greatness deterred Putin, while Obama "emboldened" him (by not arming or otherwise assisting ISIS and the people currently invading Iraq .)

It's almost like......none of the logic of any of this even matters. You just want to whine and whine about Obama. ;)

This the worst from someone of my age's perspective.

Who cares what Reagan did? Your only reason for posting is to point out that the other team sucks too. I couldn't care less what Republicans did 30 years ago, it can't be changed - but what I do care about is who our President is right now, and how we're dealing with him right now.

Part of the problem with where we're at is this type of thinking. You can't condemn something our President did because hey, Republicans didn't condemn Reagan 30 years ago. What kind of argument is that?

Do you think Obama is in any position to call other leaders timid when many think he's acted timid himself? That's what this is about, it has nothing to do with Reagan, Bush, or Republicans.

because what Obama did has been fairly typical of US presidents and the only reason conservatives are acting outraged is pure partisanship.

your objection is an example. this board and the Net in general is full of conservatives claiming that Reagan handled situations like this so much better. But the only time you appear to take exception is when a liberal makes the comparison

I think he was right to call out European leaders and it's most certainly a wake up call. Then there is the 12,000 elephant in the room. Energy

Not at all. It's solely to point out that all of todays right-wing anti-Obama whiners are complete hypocrites on this subject. Big difference.

Right. Nor could any of the right-wing hypocrites that were around then. Who cares what they said or did under very similar circumstances 30 years ago. That's irrelevant. Because they want to whine now !!!

    Exactly !!!

They're both just not-very-witty right-wing quips that serve only as righties generally saying - "You can't bring up anything I voted for, supported or tolerated. Because when I want to whine, I'm gonna get my whine on, and I don't have the slightest concern if I'm a total hypocrite !!!! In fact, I'm going to create a cute little quip that will hopefully permanently disallow anyone from mentioning my hypocrisy !"

I don't think so though. As we know, a hypocrite is a hypocrite.

Seriously.....both sides have sucked big time. Republican and Democratic Presidents have dropped the ball, made mistakes, and failed miserably. And both sides have acted as hypocrites.

It is not partisan to point out a Presidents mistakes. It is not hypocritical call the acting President out on hisdecisions or lack there of. Many on this board were under the age of 15 when Reagan was President. Many on this board called out Bush for his dumb decisions. Too many on this board callout Obama and blame him for every little thing that goes wrong.

In all, as far as I can tell, there is enough blame, enough hypocrites, and enough liars to cover both sides of the aisle quite well.

obama should be careful calling out the EU leaders as they will not support barry's run for "king of the world" after his 2nd term is completed.

Well you should always be careful in which the manner you call out someone, in this particular instance I just don't see much to criticize.
