Reason he won't delay it is that only a small % of the population (15%) are affected by the individual mandate and many of them will be eligible for subsidies or Medicaid. The overwhelming majority of others are covered by employer sponsored plans (who received a pass on implementation), or by Medicare or Medicaid, neither of which are affected until the "panels" kick in.

What implementation?? Every week it seems Obama is exempting-delaying another portion of this law. Not sure when he received the power to do such things but that is another story.

At the rate he is going there won't be anything to implement in 2014.

By the way, why is it ok for Obama to exempt-delay portions of this law but Congress can't??

For those who can't figure it out.....these are rhetorical questions.

Dadx4, it does not appear that bypassing Congress is an impeachable offense. But, refusing to enforce the law is an impeachable offense. It has just never been used to impeach.

The president is sworn to uphold the laws of the United States, so when he deliberately refuses to do so, it is a violation of his sworn oath. That is an impeachable offense.

Many other Presidents have done this same thing, but none have ever been impeached for it. Of course, none have ever done it so openly and flaunted it so contemptuously, either.

Somebody, whether that is Congress or a private entity, needs to bring suit against the government for his blatantly illegal act of postponing the employer mandate. They need to do this now, instead of after the postponement so that if the President loses the case, it will not adversely affect those businesses that take him at his word and get sued for it, as they will also lose, if the President loses his case.

The employer mandate delay is designed to save the a$$es of Democrats running for reelection in 2014. Obama is, first and foremost, a party politician. He and the Democrats know full well how unpopular this turkey is and are terrified of facing the electorate after employers/employees get a full dose of Obamacare. So like the cowards that they are the Democrats put off implementation so they wouldn't have to defend ACA in an election year.
