Obama's approval rating is still roughly twice that of House GOP

so rant away cons, et al

    http://www.pollingreport.com/cong_rep.htm
    most recent poll--- 9/23-29/13
"Do you approve or disapprove of the way the Republicans in Congress are handling their job?"
    approve---17%
disapprove-74%------now that is not just Dems disapproving of House GOP but a lot of Republicans as well. And at 74% it means that there are even ultracons are disapproving
    unsure--9%

    -----

    congressional Dems
    most recent poll--- 9/23-29/13
    http://www.pollingreport.com/cong_dem.htm
"Do you approve or disapprove of the way the Democrats in Congress are handling their job?"
    approve--- 32%
    disapprove- 60%
    unsure----- 8%

so rant away about Obama---his approval ratings are pretty much that fairly constant with mild swings up and down by week(notice how G8orbill forgets to post Obama ratings on the weeks his ratings increased a bit)

thing is...GOP congressional approval ratings has now dropped blow 20%(down to 17%)...while Congressional Dem ratings are now above 30%(32%)

looks like America still approves(by more than 2:1) Obama over GOP in congress.

so you can rant all you want about Obama's ratings but his job approval ratings compared to Congressional GOP in recent weeks has gone from Obama approval rating being twice that as Congressional GOP to Obama's job approval rating approaching 2.5 times that of Congressional GOP.

looks like OP is resorting to the ever distortional GOP math. In this instance presenting only Obama's approval ratings but neglecting to mention that Congressional GOP ratings really suck

    approval rating
    Obama---41%(per article referenced by OP)
    Congressional Dems--32%
Congressional GOP---17%-------down rouchly 5% since last time G8orbill or other anti Obama type posted Obama job approval ratings

Truth is G8orbill----Obama's job approval rating is well above the 27% you are hoping for while Congressional GOP approval rating is at 17%(10 points lower than 27%)

sorry to burst your bubble of delusion

anti-obama types orders are in---to present half truths rather than full truths---

    half truth being--Obma's approval ratings

    to avoid the full truth
Obama's approval ratings and GOp approval ratings

it's funny how you folks say that Obama's ratings suck...and leave out that gOP's ratings suck far, far worse

You are doing what the old USSR used to do when covering sports
----old USSR media used to report that USSR came in second, and U.S. came in second from last in a track meet. But fail to mention that it was just USSR competing vs US.

So do GOP math or USSR type propaganda...America is no longer fooled by your antics

Obama's approval rating will have to drop a hell of a lot further before it even approaches that of Congressional Republicans.

One trick pony, you and old.... Can't come close to addressing the subject, so you try to change it.

What a helpless feeling this must be.

Impersonal, institutional popularity numbers are relevant to nearly nothing. If you want to compare Obama to Congress, you need to compare him to district by district numbers. It really doesn't matter whether people in San Francisco approve of a Representative from Mississippi.

You are ALWAYS free to start your own thread. Given this, to what purpose is it changing the subject in an already established thread? I know, it's a rhetorical question, but at the very least, I would like to hear you articulate YOUR excuse.

Dave, it's simple: The American people are fairly disgusted with Washington DC at the moment, and for good reason. It shouldn't have come to this. (Except Tea Partiers, the majority of them are glad for the shutdown.)
But most Americans are not happy. Not happy with Obama, not happy with Democrats in Congress, not happy with Republicans in Congress.
It's kind of ridiculous to claim we're only supposed to talk about Obama's rating, and ignore the fact that it's lower for congressional Democrats and even lower congressional Republicans.
    They're all in this together.

River, it is misleading to compare institutional or group ratings with individual popularity. If you want to make a comparison, measure the popularity of each official among their constituents. In the case of Obama that includes the entire nation.

The occupant of the office of the President's approval ratings are ALWAYS higher than any group of congress at large.

Sorry to burst your bubble of delusion.

I was simply providing context in regard to how much Obama's approval ratings suck. Only way to truly see Obama's approvals rating in context is by comparing them to something they can be compared to . I chose to compare his ratings to Congressional Dems and GOP ratings. Though another comparison would be with other POTUS's. Being that Obama is involved in same issues at same time as Congress is what steered me to compare Obama's ratings to those of congress.

In any case...this is not a private forum for anti-Obama types. And if you are going to post circle jerks(feel free to do google search for 'message board circle jerk'. it is not a sexual matter), propaganda, etc don't expect others to stand idly by. You will be confronted about your BS half truths, distortional propaganda, etc.

    as it is right now
    ---Obama approval rating---41%
    ---Congressional Dem approval rating--32%
    ---Congressional GOP approval rating--17%

so OP can say 'Down, Down, down' all he wants in regard to Obama ratings---at the same time GOP Congressional ratings are far lower than 'down, down, down' they appear to be at the level of Hades.

to provide a comparison of Obama approval rating and place it in con-text

    Obama approval rating= 41%
Congressional Republicans--17% (disapproval rating of 74%, and 9% unsure)--that disapproval rating reaches into many republicans disapproving of Congressional GOP and not disapproving of Obama
    Congressional Dems---32%

so ultracons and anti-obama types can bleat about Obama job approval ratings but he is still perceived to be doing a better job than politicians anti-Obama types worship.

so OP can make all the cute little insults like referring to the Titanic....but GOP congressional politician approval rating is still lower than whale feces 1000 leagues lower than the Titanic
