Pretty cool how things come together.... Enjoy!!!
very cool. Libbies will not like as it uses the word "god"
Maybe not, but plug in love of atheism or love of the letter z, or any number of phrases which use letters toward the end of the alphabet or just more letters and you'd score even higher, obviously.
Surprised Vert "winnered" your anti-god post. Liberalism must be winning the battle in KY.
It wasn't an anti-god post, mb. It was a simple use of math as the creator of the video used it.
using the logic of the video, adding up the numerical value assigned to letters of the alphabet in a given word, god only scores a 26. oops! I guess the creator of the video had to fudge his own logic by using 3 words to make his point.
Not paying very close attention there are you?? Last I checked, hard work is two words but you would have had to actually paid attention to the message of the video to see that. As they say though, 'haters gonna hate' so you just keep doing what you do best.
alright got me on that
And no fuzzy math...
'Be an atheist' gets you to 104%. That rocks! I'm gonna give 104% in everything I do!
I think anybody, senor, realizes there are many phrases whose letters add up to over 100. The video was a clever presentation praising God. To me attacking it (knocking it) is to disagree with it's message that God is relevant in one's life.
Not a knock on you but I know Vert is a Christian and I believe she got caught up supporting her fellow lib.
Put the pedal to the medal 209 (my life means nothing).
I would have posted the same thing had an atheist did this to praise atheism since it wasn't a knock on the religious message, but the method (which was arbitrary). I also bet that verti would have agreed with such a post of mine too since I know that she recognized this point as did Lacuna.
Not sure why a Christian must accept some arbitrary use of numbers to deliver a religious message in order to be considered Christian.
Lacuna never misses an opportunity to take a shot at me. Doesn't count!
Lacuna certainly brings her formidable intellect to bear in many a discussion and in support of arguments she agrees. Whether she's taking a shot at you in this matter is one of perception. Perhaps a bit of both?
OP was a good message.
Poking fun of someone for posting it or enjoying it is rather immature and just generally 'jerky'.
Honest question: those of you who make fun of anything or anyone religious, where did attitude/behavior come from? Disagreement is one thing but open disparaging others for their beliefs just seems over the top. Likewise for when religious folks do it to others.
Figures lie and liar's figure...and that's a fact...Jack...
i see jd already addressed this. but it's 'not an anti god post'.
but you're wrong. i 'winnered' his post because he negated the original. you could use any phrase and make it work. that's what i 'winnered' him over.
no, i didn't get 'caught up supporting my fellow lib'
he just happened to be correct.
look i'm catholic in a red state. talk about hearing some disparaging remarks (from evangelicals/baptists) before i told them point blank, that i am catholic.
talk about seeing some red faces.
so yeah, i know what 'disparaging remarks about one's religion' means.
and jd's post wasn't any of that. it just pointed out the many ways that it works out.
saying that was 'disparaging' is a little sensitive, don't you think?
