    Bye bye.

Lot of different reasons people leave the US, don't really care. I can think of a few people that I wouldn't miss.

Too bad all the takers won't renounce their citizenship and leave the U.S. to the makers . . . . the way it used to be before LBJ's Great Society programs wrecked our country. I suppose our takers would have nowhere to go, though -- no other country would be gullible enough to let waves of takers invade its borders.

Yeah, all those stupid poor people should leave. We'd be a lot better off.

You have to ask yourself. Why aren't the people on food stamps. SS Disability, Medicaid, and other the other government programs leaving? Why do they stay? Do we have a problem?
How many people knowing what they know today would have sold their house in 2006? Sold their Nasdaq stocks in 2000 and bought gold?
Time will tell, but maybe those leaving have got it right. Who thinks the trends in this country are going the right way?

Go yourself and please take some of your right wing, doomsday, gold-loving friends with you. Meanwhile some of my liberal friends will create the next start up.

... with some government investment that will totally be paid back and not end in a bankruptcy filing?

What is that, is it a "Truman Show" argument against expatriation? Leave and Obama will send the seas against you, the way he promised to stop the rising tides? Stay, pay taxes, where bad weather will never threaten you!

I would prefer those who see welfare as a way of life develop a work ethic and stick around or leave.

As to your comment, we will always have poor among us and I think the rest of us should be charitable do what we can to help them. As for the stupid, well, to quote Ron White, "you can't fix stupid."

I don't care, if you want to leave, leave, but don't come back.

I would like to see a statute passed that basically said that if you are a US citizen and you decide to renounce your citizenship, you are prohibited from returning to the US nor may you maintain any property in the US.

If you don't want to pay US taxes, you shouldn't enjoy the benefits of the US that the rest of us pay for.

Why leave? In three more years this will no longer be the USA that we have come to know and love.

Why would you use Egypt as an example? From what I've seen in the last month or so, the military stepped in and prevented that from happening. Positive sign, IMO, that not everyone over there is batchit crazy.

P.S. If only the Wehrmacht had similar foresight in 1933.
