The Canadians, Chinese and Japanese would buy it all up. The only one's that would suffer is us, thanks to Obama and the Dems' shut-down.

Amazingly there is still money to actively prevent people from doing things.

thanks to GOP not proposing a budget acceptable to Dems and GOP

most recent poll---63% hold GOP House responsible for the budget issue
    ---50% hold Obama/Dems responsible

so start as many threads as you want on this Gatorbill and others

the bottom line is that even many Republicans are holding GOP more at fault in this matter than Obama. Mainly moderate/reasonable Republicans such as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce(a predominantly moderate republican group)

Now there's some overachiever math. 63% huh I can buy that, and you say 50% more hold Zero and the boys responsible? WOW, they were able to get 103% participation, sounds like I may have heard about numbers like this in the election.

If it also results in the cancellation of that overdone TV show, the shutdown will have done some good.

    1. the two results are from different poll questions
    2. 50=63=113 not 103

    so your post double fails

of course your 103% seems just another example of GOP math----

It looks like you both technically made an error. Although, I'm sure you meant to use "+" instead of "=".

    yep + rather than =

    ----------

one thing to look for in regards to which services are cut, and when they are cut. Is a tool a POTUS(regardless of whether Dem or GOP) can use

it is a tool for political advantage----And it is wrong, devious, etc...and it is such a thing that is done by politicians regardless of party.

namely cutting services in such a way as that it hits hard at the opposing party.

This matter regarding licensing for crabbing in Alaska can be one such example since Alaska is a Red state.

it would be interesting from a political manipulation viewpoint to list out all the cuts made thus far and see if their is a pattern that indicates red states having more cutbacks ordered by the dem admin(Obama) than blue states.

If there is such a pattern it would be proof of Obama resorting to long existing political tactics. If there is no such pattern it would be a sign that he is not playing political games.

Who cares about the TV show? The real lunacy is that the fed gov't is going broke and it has decided to shut down an agency that gains revenue for the gov't in the form of permit fees, taxes on $ earned from sale of crabs, etc. In what world does that make sense? I can understand shuttering some things/agencies (hopefully, forever) that don't net a positive revenue stream, but that isn't the case here. The only conclusion is that the feds (controlled by Dems in charge of the executive) want people to be upset when they can't get crab and look to blame someone - and the media will happily tell them it is Boehner's fault.

This is going too far ;)
I am a fisherman, a deep water fisherman, it is my passion. What a bunch of $#^&

Both party's wackos are to blame, some more than others.

I will say it again..any Congressman or woman, now or in the future, from any party, who for political reasons, threatens shutdowns and defaults, should be charged with treason, imo. All this will become is, tit for tat politics now and in the future, the names will change, the parties will be flipped, but the bombastic demagogues, who wouldn't know an original thought or an objective view, if it hit them in the face, will remain the same.

Plus, to add more frustration, it's a two week Red Snapper season for 5 more days, the gulf looks great... and I'm not sure if I can get out. The horror.

I'm could give a shit about any poll numbers unless all of those polled are paying taxes.

Guess what, in 10 years when 65% are getting out more than they are paying in, the numbers in favor of the president giving the hand-outs will be higher. Yeah. I can tell the future.

Gulf, what should they be charged with for piling trillions of debt upon our children and grandchildren?

Are those standing up against this reckless spending that is indebting future generations treasonous or patriotic?

Reckless spending is ridiculous. We all know that. That issue should be dealt with OUTSIDE of shutting down the government. I don't for a second believe that my interests or the County's interests are being served by threatening to default on US debt. do you?

Problem is though I believe the majority of it's audience are women and when momma's not happy....

Jonathan from the Time Bandit owns part of a neighborhood bar across the street from my office. He was here last month with his "new" custom 775 hp Time Bandit '55 Chevy.

Word is after Phil died he quit drinking.....NOT. A little on the "rough" looking side is an understatement.
