Well if it results in a slashed corporate tax rate I say let him have it.

OBOB, this administration philosophically just cannot pull the trigger on lower rates even if loopholes are eliminated. It is just too damn logical. Now they would go for no loopholes.

Of course he would not call it a stimulus. It would be an "investment". And he's so good at investing...see green energy portfolio.

Hadn't thought about that. You have a point! Look for a stimulus for those who have technology to burn goat shit.

Giving Obama money is like giving money to the DNC.

Or maybe like giving money to Obama voter groups who breed more Obama knee pad wearing defenders and voters which perpetuates the problem. As Ronald Reagan stated, the only way to slow the growth of government is to starve it of fuel. (money)

Yet it's hard to judge the accuracy of that rhetoric considering we haven't had a president do that in more than a century, least of all Reagan.

Interestingly though, it does happen at the state and local level. Something about having to balance revenues with expenditures makes one decide priorities including what government should and can do vs what would be "nice".

We may need a balanced budget amendment to hold our politicians feet to the fire,

Since nobody is allowed to challenge Obama's failed ideas (only a racist would questiont the messiah) he will likely get his way.

The CBO's estimated impact of the 2009 stimulus

    CBO
I anticipate responses suggesting that the CBO's estimates were politically motivated although the same posters frequently cite the CBO when the agency's analysis is unfavorable to Obama.

Seems that stimulus worked for Reagan

Vag8tr1- by any chance do you also believe in Santa Clause, the tooth fairy and that government will take care of you? If so, I'd believe all the toro mierda put out by CBO and others on the stimulus bill.

As I mentioned to another poster, perhaps my definition of stimulus is different than others. I see stimulus as a catalyst or flash point that ignites. Obama's stimulus resulting in a few more teachers, firemen and policemen keeping their jobs for a year until they were ultimately wacked due to lack of local funds. Oh, it also included a few "union worker only" pot hole projects. Oh, and lets not forget the "green energy" investments with Obama bundlers. Essentially the entire Obama stimulus package was political payback.

If Congress told the CBO the earth was flat they would issue a report about hype many ships would fall off the edge.

Please tell us that you know more about Reagan than his spending? There's good spending in government and there's wasted, lost, freebies given by the government which gives nothing back in taxes, but instead keeps the government large and hungry for more money..

What Reagan did, when he spent money, was the proper way to "stimulate" the economy which in turn created many, many more jobs.

Obama gives his money to freeloaders and that money then disappears into a 'black hole' that no one ever sees... never creating one single private sector job.

Huge, huge difference between O-doofus and Reagan. And Reagan lowered taxes... O-duffus gave us the largest tax increase in the history of mankind.

Not a huge fan of Reagan, but his non defense spending leveled off throughout his term.
That hadn't been the case in a LONG time (previous administrations)

Do you think we should give Obama more money?

I trusted Reagan with real STIMULUS spending. Obama lines his friends' pockets and that money goes straight to the DNC for re-election of more tax and spend commies.

Of course I don't think we should give him more money. This government should slash spending by Trillions(with a "T") every year. We spend about 3.5 Trillion per year(roughly), that number should be about 1-1.3 Trillion.
