The people of North Korea have no concept of the world, all they know is what they're told.
Without China at their back N. Korea would have been overrun years ago.
This is what I've been saying about those people.
Makes one wonder what scripted view of the world are we being fed by _____________?
As an aside, why is it after being fed North Korean propaganda I can always consume more just a few minutes later?
Ever seen that show on HBO chronicling Rodman's visit there? The whole thing is amazing, but one particularly bemusing part was when they took them to a room where a couple dozen people were sitting in front of computer monitors. It was evidently a show of how tech-savvy they were, using the Internet for research and such. But clearly they weren't connected, or at the very least not allowed to actually surf. They just stared at static pages, in static trance. So the Globetrotters had to walk around and acknowledge how modern they were, while not being able to escape the fact that no one was actually doing anything. Some were staring at the Google homepage, as if trying to decipher the artist's intent in a famous painting hanging on a museum wall. And it wasn't even one of Google's more clever daily themes.
Clearly the video was propaganda meant for non-North Korean audiences. If a North Korean audiences saw this video there would be issues for the Great Leader. (Not referring to Obama). They would get pissed seeing Americans eating and drinking North Korean food and coffee. North Korean food and coffee they never get.
