We had a chance against LSU if we could have made them one dimensional. But they were able to gash us with big running plays and keep the ball out of our hands. They were very effective controlling the game, and we couldn't do anything about it after the first quarter. Smart game planning by LSU. I knew his loss was bad, but it's now apparent how big a loss. We are a good defense, but he made us very good.

Unless Easley was going to play offense as well, we weren't going to win the game yesterday. Even if he played, we lose 7-6 because they were going to get at least 1 TD.

Meh...idk....I think with Easley at least one of those td's is a field goal and then your looking at a much different game

So they score 13, which is still more than 6. So, you are correct it is a different game, but with the same outcome. Also think LSU would've still just pounded us with the run regardless of what the score was, and there was little we were going to do about it. They would still have beaten us at our own game.

We could have gone big at both DT positions and shutdown LSU. That was a coaching decision to play with smaller players at the position and preserve Jay-nard Bostwick's redshirt. Our DL was in a no win situation against the game plan used by Les Miles.

The lack of an adjustment to first shutdown the run is totally a coaching decision. It was a wrong decision that may well have cost us a chance to win.

Yeah, yeah I know. UF lost because the offense sucked. Well, in the right defense, LSU could have been made to be an equally sucking offense. Given that LSU's lone turnover was an unforced fumble by Mettenberger on a pass play, I would have liked to have seen LSU have to win the game passing.

I was hoping it would come down to our defense backs vs their receivers and QB. As it was, they didn't need to make it that kind of game, they just ground and pounded us.

Two field goals and a safety beats us.

Why do people keep bringing up Easley? What if he would have left early for the draft? We recruited very well on the D line. He is certainly missed, but that is NOT our problem. Not even close. It's our anemic offense. God lord, we scored six freaking points yesterday. Every team LSU has faced this year, has put up more than us; much more.

To date, we haven't given up more than 20 points all season! The defense is fine....

Go look at the stats....We're near the top in every defensive category. While you're at it, go look at our offensive rankings..... If you're still complaining about Easley, you really should stop watching football.

Just like i said before....the way to beat us is up the middle and attack Purifoy.

Nobody has stepped up and been that Omar Hunter for us.

Coming into the season that was my main concern..the DT..the middle. Now that Easley is injured we will be vulnerable against pro style teams especially that like to run power runs in the middle

Offense IS a problem so says the blind man...thats a given

But do you think LSU would have been successful with Easley?

We have more problems on Offense ..but the better teams will try to exploit our weakness on defense.

So lets say Easley saves us a TD, we still lose.

Bad coach! Bad Coach! Fire his sorry butt. Open interviews of GC members. Fix this situation--NOW. We can't wait. We deserve better. We demand better.

Purifoy didn't get burned like the other secondary players. The only guy who did well was Hargreaves. Roberson was so tiny out there, he kept drawing PI. Big receivers and we have maybe one and he doesn't play much.

Sometimes, you just get beat. Roberson is a fine corner, IMO. Doubt he played scared. Poor technique on ocassion, though.

Easley's absence is an immediate problem. We have no answer for him being out. Not saying that's the coach's fault, because you just can't replace them easily. (pun intended). His being out, changed the dynamic in the game. LSU exploited our d line and kept the ball from us, like we were supposed to. Sure our O needs fixing, we all know that too, but his absence in that game hurt.

Those stats you were referring were compiled when Easley was playing. In any event those great stats were put together when Easley was p-laying.

You think I should quit watching football, because I'm "complaining" about Easley being out? That makes no sense. I'm not complaining, just making an observation. Why should that bother you so much?

Seems to be a few that use it as a reason why we're losing. Maybe that's just me...

And yes, stop watching football.... IT WAS A JOKE.

Whoops, almost forgot, Easley got hurt a few weeks ago in practice. So I think your wrong on that. And even if that was the case, that you were right, I still say we plug and place. muschamp knows how to pick 'me; it's his baby. He recruits very, very well at D line.

    Anyway,

    I'm out! Go gators!
