Not sure if anybody else caught this but we signed a new pitcher during the late signing period..Her name is Lele Ocasio and she is a stud with 5 no-hitters this year and a 0.71 era...might be the reason Alyssa Bache left the team...

She and Gourley are the future of Gator mound domination.

Sounds like she is more than just a pitcher. She could play almost anywhere.

We are also in the running for the top pitcher and #2 overall recruit in the 2015 class - Kelly Barnhill from Georgia. She is deciding between us and Stanford. FWIW, we've already signed the #1 overall recruit in that class - OF Amanda Lorenz from Cali.

The future was definitely looking bright for Gator softball even before the title run and should only be getting brighter from here.

Barnhill's twitter account mentioned our championship series and congratulated The Gators. Love the fact that she is from Cobb county, GA. She's thinking about The Gators. Stanford didn't even make the top 64 in post season. Lorenz is an unbelievable hitter and outfielder. She was walked intentionally many times when leading off the inning. Has great power, too.

She was supposed to make it around the first of June, but is probably waiting a bit to find out who'll be Stanford's new coach in the wake of John Rittman's resignation. Got to believe that we are the prohibitive favorite at this juncture.

New video on Student Sports. She still hasn't made up her mind and said she was not in a hurry. She said it was still down to Florida and Stanford. She has been to Gainesville twice. She didn't say this, but when you are the number one pitcher in the nation I don't think you worry about a team having a roster spot for her.

Stanford has certainly been a pain in the arse for Lady Gator teams.

I can't imagine her going to Stanford over us..We just won a Natty..We are closer to her hometown..We are a perennial top 10 program..They suck in womens softball..They just fired their coach..What more could she want..Come on down KB you will have more fun in Gainesville...

Stanford is a really neat school. Stanford is highly regarded academically. Stanford grads get jobs and make lots
    of $$$.

Hey, I am not a Stanford fan; I'm Gator all the way. Proud of my school athletically and academically.

Just sayin' ..... Stanford is formidable competition.

Stanford's softball facility looks like a Florida high school field. I think they use their overall reputation when recruiting for many sports.

I know of a potential 2018 SB pitching super stud. Who wants play at UF.

I have a client whose daughter (12 yr old, 5'6") can throw high 50's low 60's and already has command of 5 pitches. She will be a freshman at Plant high (Tampa) She was a member of the junior all stars that went to the WS a couple of years ago. She plays 14U and regularly plays against 18U competition
