Not buying that story. Recruits talk. It would be known by now.
Sounds like he'd be a great choice
@Frank_Frangie: UF OC update: There was interest-gauging conversation w UCLA's Noel Mazzone. Noel was interested, but got a nice bump by Mora and will stay.
Yeah, I'm sure with his job on the line , Muschamp is going to give a secret like that to an 18 year old football recruit.
Muschamp will take over OC duties and playcalling!
^ Major buzzkill there
So is it dandy Don Meredith?
Dennis Miller: ...and I'm outta here!...
The ink on the story is still not dry. It apparently happened late afternoon/ early evening.
No one is concerned about the resemblance?
Sucks because I'd really like this guy, seems great at developing QB's.
I wasn't actually serious lol. The guy did say it on 24/7 but I was just using it to set up my amazing Jon Gruden guess. Though he sucked at developing QB's for tampa...okay scratch gruden give me Miller.
You can thank negative recruiting (and the false premise that a traditional RB won't work in his system) for much of that, IMO.
"Turn out the lights....the party's o-ver..."
Don Freakin Meredith!!!
Turn out the lights the party's over...
beat me too it ajjax... Dandy was the best.
I actually like this choice.
Now, where's the guarantee he'll actually be able to run his style of offense here?
John Madden - then we'll have 2 "BOOMS"...
If you're talking about Mazzone, I like the choice too, but he is apparently staying with Mora at UCLA.
As far as the new guy "running his offense", the HC is always going to have a say to some degree in both game planning and big game play call decisions. But Champ knows the offense has to work this year or he's done. I can't imagine him handcuffing a strong OC in that situation... he'll be embracing a strong OC. If the OC is outstanding, he'll probably be giddy to let him do his thing and not have to worry about the offense being a CF.
Yeah, my estimation is Muschamp would have more a "save my butt" demeanor than "run it my way". Of course, a lot of us have the perception Muschamp handcuffed Pease even though we have no proof.
