Muschamp: we'll play freshmen when they're ready. (Hargreaves) is ready. He produces every day in practice and on game day.

There was no mention of Kelvin but I assume he isnt ready

Who thought that Noah Brindise was an alternative, but I recall he got some time and did ok. Too bad that Murphy, Staver and Moehrwing aren't as good as Brindise. Then again it could be we have no coach worth a damn at coaching QB's.

If Kent Taylor was as good as Reed at receiving part he would be playing. Jeff said today he Burton is more of a blocking TE and he felt he has been doing that job. We are just not going to be dynamic at the position. We dont have OL players as it is.

If Taylor is not better than our WR's no reason to flex him if he cant block either.

"We're going to throw it to guys that can make plays." - Muschamp on tight end position not doing much receiving thus far.

Well obviously SOS, who watched him in practice every day and was responsible for making these decisions, thought he was an alternative.

All I know is that against Toledo Kelvin came in and added energy and excitement to the running game in just a few carries. If they gave him 4 yards he took 8, if they gave him 8....look out. I can't say that about Jones right now, hopefully he's just not fully recovered.

Garbage time on a defense that was tired and worn down. Those carries meant nothing

You are correct ... and yet some will continue to post essentially that, over and over and over again ...

Maybe so, but he showed enough that I would like to see what he could do earlier in the game...you never know. I understand he has trouble picking up blocks and he still has a way to go in understanding he play book. All I'm saying is give him a chance when it matters to see how he performs. I remember a certain QB that didn't show much in practice but put him in the game and he came alive. Danny won us a NC and himself a Heisman.

I see the point on the OL if we're worried about depth... I was thinking someone like Silberman should be a better blocker than Clay... am I wrong?

Let's put the jumbo sets aside assuming we need to protect our depth and not risk injury there.

We have RBs and FBs... how about more of the three back sets?

How about three receiver sets? D-Rob is supposed to be the most dynamic receiver we have on the team, right? Get him on the field and get him some touches. Rotate Fulwood in, too.

I'm a fan of Muschamp and fully get how he's trying to win games. But it just feels to me like we're giving up a position on the field the way we're playing the TE right now. TE should be a productive position and a real threat to the defense in this style of offense.

Uh, Mr. Murphy, I just saw Tyler on campus and he asked me to ask you to tone it down a little bit, its getting embarrassing for him...

I just dont get this logic. Why on earth would you play somebody that hasn't earned it that you don't think is the best person for the job? Do people really think that is the smart thing to do for the team?

If you flex out Taylor and he draws a linebacker, that creates a mismatch for him and draws away run support from the line. If he draws a DB, that also creates a mismatch if he runs a route that allows him to use his body against the coverage- like a high ball in the endzone.

They have ran some interesting sets i the back field. You can have a blocking TE on the field there is nothing wrong with that especially if Clay is making his blocks.

Drob only knows one WR position the same with Fulwood. They are getting in the game some but it is not like Dunbar and Patton are playing bad.

The only logic is "I would like to see what he could do earlier in the game" ... people want to see the hot new recruit play without any of the consequences that may come with the territory ... I am thankful that the decision lies with Boom not many of the posters on this board.

I'm not saying he should be starting or getting significant carries, just get him SOME carries and see what happens. He's a true freshman, I get it. I'm not sure how you think he "hasn't earned it", and I'll defer to the coaches on who the "best person for the job" is. Geez, it was just an observation.

Here is the thing if Taylor cant block then all he is is a WR so there is no personnel mismatch you might as well have a WR on the field. People are also assuming Taylor is some dynamic pass catching threat.
