A new AP poll out not Fox has obama approval ratting at 37%. This is getting down where it belongs people are starting to really wise up. I know congress is down around 20% But congress was not much higher Jan 1 so they have dropped very little while obama has dropped about about 17 Pts obama and the dem are taking a beating now

No, actually congress' approval rating is at 5%. So Obama is about 7 times more popular than congress is right now.

Here's a little chart of favorability ratings for dems and repubs. You can see dems are down a bit to 43%, and repubs are down a lot more, to 28%. So Obama is more popular than republicans.

Looking at that chart above, repubs are at their lowest level of favorability since at least 1993.

You do realize you just said that congress was at about 20% and I just showed you that you are very wrong, right?

And what makes me laugh is that every time anyone posted Bush's awful approval ratings during his second term the standard conservative response was, 'who cares, he's not running for reelection'. Now all of a sudden you guys are very interested in approval ratings again.

It's your own AP poll that you created this thread about that shows congress at 5%. This graph I posted isn't on congress. It's about the favorability of the democratic and republican parties.

We went through this same kind of stuff with you guys trying to prove Romney was going to win the White House. You would cherry pick some outlier poll and then think it proved something. As I said on the other thread about this (there was no need to start another one and next time I'll just merge it) this is the lowest of the polls on RPC with Rasmussen showing him at 50% and Fox (yes, your beloved Fox) showing him at 45%.

    It really isn't changing much.

    http://realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_obama_job_approval-1044.html

So in the past couple of days, there have been two good polls for the President (Economist/Yougov and Rasmussen interestingly enough) and two bad ones (less interestingly Gallup and AP/GfK).

Of course, those that seek confirmation bias can find what they are looking for here. Those seeking actual facts, would recognize that the polls in the last couple of days have just been low in reliability (ie. very high in random error). And the average works out to just about where it was before each poll came out: Obama: -5 or -6.

As stated, my 5% claim comes from your own poll. The graph is a different source entirely. It shows that you are wrong when you say the Obama and the dems are falling more than the repubs are.

So give or take five, we all agree that, in increasingly greater numbers, more and more Americans think Barry sucks.

    Wonder what took so long.

    Everybody already knows about Congress.
