-10 seems like a really good score.

need to collect some birdies down the stretch here on the back side. tomlinson tripled to go +8, so his score won't count - that puts pressure on the other 4 to hold steady.

currently +2 - which stands tied for 11th (matches the Gators' ranking)

Last top ten was 2006 when we came in second. We won in 2001.

Not a good round today. Finished at +11, tied for 25th. We are 13 shots out of 8th place. Top 8 teams make match play.

North Florida, UCF and FSU are ahead of us.

Next year does not look any better. Our two best players leave and Buddy did not recruit any studs.

gators on the course - 2nd round started
    even, early in the day.
other teams have already started off well. most of the other teams on the course are under par for the day.

Virtually the same scores as yesterday, except Tomlinson inprovng by 11 strokes. But his day was so bad yesterday it won't help.
Currently in last place, probably end up in the mid 20's at days end. 15 out of the top 8 so pretty much no chance to advance.

Not good with 3 seniors and clearly the top 2 players departing (Vogel/McCumber). I think Banks has a very bright future, and Tomlinson has his moments. But the program certainly appears to be at a crossroads and I wonder if they don't need some sort of shakeup.

like i said in a post above, 25 plus years might make a coach to comportable, just going through the motions, florida needs to be a top 10 program in golf, both mens and womens, each year, with the year round weather advantage, there are really no excuses, time for foley to make a decision.

I follow this tourney every year on the internet. This is the worst showing I remember. I realize the day is not over but we probably will post one of the worst scores of the day, after posting one of the worst yesterday.

    I don't get it and I'm disappointed.

It wouldn't surprise me to see a 'retirement' from Alexander. It is time for some new blood in the program, no reason our golf program shouldn't be consistently near the top. I think it has definitely fallen below Foley's expectations level.

To add to the concern, a quick look at recruiting shows FSU signed 3 of the top 40 golfers from the incoming class.....including a top 5 guy out of St Pete. FSU is better than UF this year already, and has 2 freshmen and a soph playing at NCAAs with 2 seniors

UF class has a guy ranked between 150-200 and a guy from Sweden who looks to have had mixed success. UF has 3 seniors going at NCAAs this week.

Lots can happen, but looks like their (FSU) future is much brighter

We are trailing UCF, FSU, North Florida, and currently eeking out a narrow margin over Kent State, who led us most of the day.
Yes it's only one tourmanent and things happen, but we are pretty clearly not where we should be in a sport like golf, men's or women's right now.

need to go about 16-under, i'm guessing, today, to have a chance at the top 8 slots.

About to make the turn on todays round...team is at even par. They are not going to advance, but they could easily sneak into the top 20 with a little help and a stronger back 9 than they have had first 3 days.

Just getting no traction, currently at +1 as they finish up.....the good teams look to be playing under par. Looks like a 25th place finish, give or take a slot. Not horrible, but disappointing.
