Cal is handling FSU in the early match. UF will really have their hands full in the second round....can't just assume they advance out of this draw.

Really poor performance from the men today....in fact in danger of losing

Piro and Diep both lose in straight sets
BVO is currently up 5-4 in the third set
Alford and Watson win in 2 sets
Federhofer down a break in his third set

Assuming BVO can close it out, they will get rolled by Cal if they play anything like this

Gonna come down to bob and he is now down 5-6. This would be an epic fail if they lost.

Wow, could have 2 seniors lose 3 setters at home to lose this match. Unbelievable

Possibly as bad a performance as I can recall. I know Federhofer has been hurt, but hard to find any way to spin this for the team as a whole. Got a feeling Shelton is probably glad to see this season end and get a fresh start with the incoming talent.

Kind of a fitting end for bob's career. Just never lived up to his potential

First of all let me tell you that Denver EARNED the win. But with saying that, there is NO WAY Florida should ever lose to a team like Denver. But it happened and now the only thing we can do is move forward as soon as possible.

one fortunate thing for denver - was having their lacrosse team play in the postseason w/ the tennis team. they bussed the girls over to watch the finale - was almost a home court advantage for them.

bad day on the courts. not the best day on the diamond either. denver really did take it to us. as the girls departed heard some say this inspired them for sunday's match.

Actually the offseason can't come quick enough. As there will be exit interviews with each player early next week, and Coach Shelton will begin the process of accessing this season and planning for the next. There are plenty of reasons to be excited about the players coming into our program in the fall. And those who will be eligible come January of 2014. All good coaches are always looking forward, win or lose.

Coach, has Hidalgo been practicing with the team? Is he a "top 2-3" type guy on the ladder or is he more of a Luke Johnson level?

Hidalgo as well as Spencer Newman will make a huge impact on the lineup next season if they stay healthy. Diego can be a top three player. And remember another name, coming in this fall, in Elliot Orkin. He is a Gator through and through, from Georgia, and could be ready to contribute upon his arrival. Diego Hidalgo and Spencer Newman will not be eligible to compete until January. Diego has practiced with the team since his arrival last January, and Spencer Newman was practicing as well, until his shoulder surgery. His rehab is going very well.
