    In the tank.

I was watching CNN last night (AC) and they seem to be making a decided tack to the middle. I wonder if they aren't seeing the writing on the walls and trying to position themselves as less of a cheerleader. I really think there is a market (perhaps just wishful thinking) for a truly independent, meat-and-potatoes commentary and news.

Before the election? They were reporting the same story in 2010:

    Reminds me of Braveheart:

"The problem with Scotland, is that it's full of Scots! If we can't get them out, we'll breed them out."

Other than Eugenics - neuter the stupid people - about the only thing that we can do constructively is to get rid of the "one person, one vote" rule, at least for the executive positions (POTUS, governors, maybe US Senators) and make people have some skin in the tax/spend game. Otherwise stupid and needy is a GOOD thing to have on your side.

Why are most people not covered by insurance? 1-they can't afford it:2-they are uninsurable.
Those that can't afford it will be fully subsidized or go on medicaid. The unsurable, with their medical problems will just be added cost to the system.
All this will take money and not enough new enrollees will cover the cost, ergo, higher premiums for everyone.Subsidizing the premiums is just another form of medicaid.

So anybody that purchases gasoline, alcohol, cigarettes, certain imported goods, etc. would still be able to vote, as they pay into the federal tax/spend game (either directly or indirectly)?

And anybody that buys anything in a state with a sales tax would already have skin in the game for the state (ie. Governors elections).

You are assuming that everyone won't be eligible to vote. On the contrary, everyone who has skin in the game gets to vote, but at the amount of the skin. Think as if executive voting is similar to voting at a stockholder's meeting. You can win either by having a lot of small/medium stakeholders' votes or a few from the major ones. All count but in different magnitudes.

NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC and Al Jazeera anchors and hosts are having to change wardrobes. Off with the cheerleading skirts and pom poms and back to suits. Except Anderson Cooper of course.
