    Doesn't exactly surprise me. Howard and Asik are both good pick and roll defenders, but not if the one is Paul and the four/five are Griffin and Jordan. Entirely too athletic for them, especially with the Rox struggles in the backcourt defensively. But letting Redick go off for 22?

    Beal tearing it up tonight. 27 points on 19 possessions. 5/7 3 point shooting.

    Looks like the Pacers will run away with the best record in the league this season. I'm wondering if they'll threaten the record.

    As they have been the last couple of seasons, the Pacers are very good both offensively and defensively, and now it looks like they're ready for that apex season really good teams get to (and then start dropping off - at least in the regular season - due to the difficulty in maintaining full intensity through the regular season)

    That said, we'll see if they can get through the playoffs to the Finals when everyone starts playing with playoff intensity. It becomes a different animal then.

    Super game tonight, it's halftime, Hou leading Dal 68-61

    Parsons is playing like an allstar. He has 18 points with numerous assists, lots of lobs to dunks by Howard and T jones. Hubie Brown can't say enough about Parsons

    Howard hasn't missed a shot yet and at 27 points. He must have read the article on Grantland.

    Ha! I was thinking the same thing. So much of it is Terrance Jones. As soon as they ditched the Howard/Asik combination, everything has been open for them offensively. Howard is manhandling things in the paint without help from a secondary defender, Parsons and Harden are getting to the rim, and three point shooters are wide open on kickouts and ball rotation. Unfortunately, Houston has terrible perimeter defense, so Dallas is staying within striking distance.

    Beal is leading the wizards in scoring, averaging 20 a game with a few rebounds and assists as well. I think he's still just scratching the surface too.

    Yeah I think he's going through the same process he did here, once he realizes he is the best player on that team and it's ok to be more 'selfish' he's going to explode.

    Yeah, that D cost them again. Wasted a 33 point Howard effort on just 20 possessions. What happened to Garcia? He's been mediocre in the few minutes he has gotten. Is he sulking?

    Not sure, but his D has been terrible. It was outstanding in their run last year. They are a work in progress. Parsons has been dealing with back spasms for a couple of weeks and his defense is lagging as a result. Beverley is worse than last year. Harden's effort has been a running joke. They are at least two deals away from being a top-four team.

    Damn just read about Rose's injury to his right knee. Speculation is that it could be an ACL tear meaning he'd be gone for yet another season. Hopefully the MRI results will indicate otherwise *fingers crossed*

    Yeah. Feel really bad for him if so. Everything that happened last night had the same feel as last time.

    It's ironic that he plays so out of control and then injures his knee on a routine turn up court. His body just isn't built for the NBA.

    Thunder beat Spurs with Westbrook having a putrid night, Durant only ok, but Ibaka carrying them. In the meantime, Harden is out with an injury, hasn't shot so well this year and doesn't play defense. Lamb also did pretty well last night. The trade doesn't look so bad in light of that.

    Maybe he will retire and finally admit that Calipari helped to arrange for his SAT score

    Horford is Clutch.

    The Thunder and Warrior should be forced to play each other 50 more times this season.

    Parsons had another good game for he Rockets.

    Sucks that Davis broke his hand tonight.

    By the way, that Durant state line has never been bettered or equaled by anyone since we started keeping all of those stats and is one of the best all around stat lines ever put up.

    I just checked basketball-reference, and no one matched more than 4 out of the 7 criteria: 32 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists, 4 steals, 4 blocks, 2 turnovers and 66.7% shooting.

    32 pts, 10 rebounds, 12 assists, 66.7% shooting: 1
    10 rebounds, 12 assists, 4 blocks, 66.7%: 0
    10 rebounds, 12 assists, 4 blocks, 4 steals: 0
    10 rebounds, 12 assists, 4 steals, 66.7% shooting: 0
    32 pts, 10 rebounds, 12 assists, 4 steals: 1
    32 pts, 10 rebounds, 12 assists, 4 blocks: 1
    32 pts, 10 rebounds, 12 assists, TO <= 2: 0
    FG 66.7%, 10 rebounds, 12 assists, TO <= 2: 0

    There are a few more to check, but wow.
